I'm pretty sure something that sponsers the olympics is suddenly going to go oh lol joke. I think that would be pretty insultive to the whole idea of sponsering and such. Don't be so paranoid. Alot of april fools day jokes by games companies and magazines and such tend to have a obvious statement hidden when it's a joke.

Hey, I'm not saying this isn't true. In fact, I'm leaning towards it actually being genuine. But I'm not going to accept it and start imagining how "awesome" it's going to be until I can be sure it's real. This time of year, any game announcement, and I just say, "Oh."

I mean, sure, it's Mario and Sonic, but it's the Olympics. Interest in the Olympics has been waning for years. I haven't even watched them since before the new millennium.

They might make it good, or they might make it suck like most of the Olympics games I've seen to date. If they include every sport, it might just work. If they only include the major sports, it'll be a waste of money.

Either way, I'm not very interested in it right now. Brawl is leagues ahead of this.

The Olympic games? Im didnt think Sega or Nintendo had anything to do with the Olympic comitee at all. nForcer might be right. Plus way would they chose the Olympics over somthing like Smash Brothers?

It just hit me.

SSBB will make money period. If this is real, they're hoping to have that kind of cash happen a 2rd time. Think about it, we all want Sonic in Smash but the chances are we were ALREADY going to buy the game.

Just my thoughts exactly Squeek. The game might be on the Wii, but it is still an Olympic game. Expect the same mad-dash running, jumping, shot-put, and other normal events that are included in a Olympic game. I promise that after the 2nd or 3rd time playing through the game the novelty of shaking your Wii-mote and seeing Sonic and Mario run will have worn off.

Only hope for this is that it will bolster mad support for the completion of SSBB.
