I don't really like Athlons, but that seems like a good computer there. My mom and sister both just got new Dell's. I still have a pentium 3 p.o.s. I am saving up for a 240 gig hard drive, 17 inch LCD flat screen, or 19 inch if I find the money fast enough. My computer is cheap ass.

240 GB hard drive... I just don't see the point unless you want 100 movies and 50 different animes with every single episode saved on them.. or porn I guess. 80 GB has been fine for me, I have like 10 anime series, 1 with over 100 eps, others up to 50, plus a few movies, a bunch of games etc. I still have 25 GB left, and I don't see myself using it up anytime soon. Even if I did need it for some reason, I could easily see myself deleting an old anime that I never watch anymore, what's the point? :O

I'm still running on 256mb of ram... and considering games are requiring 512 now, they're working really well. :/

I think it's so cool that Win XP loads in less than 20 seconds. =D

QFE. I used to be an Intel fanboy, but I noticed how the Barton line, which is in the $90-130 range, rivals or bests medium to high end P4's which cost near $200. Plus, the horribly overpriced P4EE is considerably worse than the FX line from AMD (which is also less expensive). Also, AMD's tend to overclock better.

Uh, Tny, that site linked to an Anandtech review of the Intel 570J, which got massively owned.

Couldn't be more right.

Oh, I thought LD was for Intel and was advertising the new proc to ruin my thread. Gotcha.

Newcastle can OC almost as well as Barton, and only Newcastle (to the best of my knowledge) offers the 2Ghz FSB.

Well...ok, maybe they're not as godly at overclocking as Barton Cores, but you can have some fun with a Newcastle- they're real easy to OC. Sempron is actually better at overclocking then Newcastle, but tend to get hotter and more unstable if you go too fast.
