Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
Looks interesting, sign me up as student (for SM) please. I want to learn the arts of 4-key charting (pretty much what 00Razor00 posted excluding DDream Studio). I already know how to use the editor and I already know how to sync and cut songs.
EDIT: I have over 4 years of experience in stepping simfiles. Last edited by BeatofIke; 06-9-2011 at 10:37 PM.. |

Started putting together the list of things to "teach" if there are specifics you'd like to learn feel free to post them here. I may have overlooked something you might want and I'd like for us to be able to cover as much as possible with you guys.

Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
I could teach a bit for sm. I'd also like to be a student for solo since I'm terrible at stepping for it (except schmollbluk, that file's awesome)

step 1) read my ddream guide
step 2) tweak it until it's something you'd enjoy playing

Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
I'm not sure if I'm qualified to be a teacher just yet since i haven't stepped enough files for Stepmania or FFR but i do consider myself "good" at stepping so i guess sign me up as a teacher for stepmania for all sorts except for holds and jumpstream since i dont consider myself good at those. Also I can teach people how to use mine theory as well however I'm not sure if people think that my mine theory is actually considered "pro level". I can probably be a teacher for FFR stepping as well since it's not as hard to teach. Also, make me a student for stepping solo and learning how to do holds and jumpstream of all sorts AND pad stepping (since i always wanted to learn how haha).

Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
Alright, well after a little doubting myself, I think I'll sign up for a teaching spot, if I may.
Can teach if there's no one else available, at least. All I can do is FFR files, in SM and ddream. I work mostly in ddreamstudio now, so yeah, I can try to help people with getting a hang of that. I don't know shit about pad files or SM files, but I'm fine hiding in my secluded FFR cave, away from all these other styles that I'll never get a hang of anyway. Apparently I can't step solo, either. I would like to learn solo better, but that's not in FFR, and I'd rather not venture out too far... I mean, it's not like I'll be displaying SM files or anything, so I don't feel the need to learn it. Bleh. I don't know. |

Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
Silvuh and bmah should take over the FFR side of the university since they're currently the most active experienced/prolific stepartists still on FFR (Patashu is on TS and not quite acting like himself, and a few others simply disappeared.
EDIT: For all of you guys who are applying for teachers - we might have a meeting to see where you'll fit best. If you're really good at a particular style, but unsure about others and you still want to apply for a teacher, we might not necessarily accommodate for multiple styles. We're not doing it because we don't trust you in particular styles, we're doing it so that we can get best teachers to give an UNBIASED set of lessons so that you can develop your own styles. Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
This pretty much. I'm basically Kommi v2 except Japan-ized, lmao.
Can step for Pad, 4key, and 6key. Know basic xmods but nothing about negative bpms. Know basic ddream but nothing too complex. I more or less have the ~STePMaN RePuTaTioN~ from submitting to countless packs and being apart of a lot of communities and projects. Count me in, though I'll admit I'm not much of a teacher.

Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
hehe, tutor will work.
In terms of qualifications, I've been around just as long as Kommisar, we were even kind of rivals at one point. I'm pretty decent at stepping for 4key, and I know a couple of tricks for stepping breakcore/IDM/what have you. So I guess I could tutor for stepping those music genres. |
