Re: Blade & Soul
Question for the players who already do play Blade & Soul. What 2 Crafting and 2 Gathering skills did you pick? Should we try to pick the other ones?
You can always unlearn them, but it makes you lose all the progression. So, should we try to max out some and depend on each others or just pick what seems the most appropriate on the moment? Crafting: Silver Cauldron - Produces healing potions and antidotes. Two types of potions: Heal instantly, but longer cooldown or Heal over time shorter cooldown. Earthseers - Produces town scrolls, unsealing scrolls (which you need to identify gear), and QingQong Materials. Merry Potters - Provide materials such as; pickaxe, jars, and refining materials. Acquired Taste - Produces; Foods (heal over time when out of combat), and can also craft QingQong item. Soul Wardens - Produces soul shield plate which you can use to fuse with main soul shield to get extra stats. Can also make stone, for break through and evolve. Forgekeepers - Craft weapons and repair kits Radiant Ring - Produces exclusive accessories and also Gem box/bag that can sell for a lot of money. Gathering: Herbside Service - Pairs well with Silver Cauldron and Earthseers Green Thumbs - Pairs well with Merry Potters and Acquired Taste Tree Fellers - Pairs well with Soul Wardens and Merry Potter Trapper's Alliance - Pairs well with Acquired Taste and Soul Wardens Fish Network - Pairs well with Earthseers and Silver Cauldron Stonecutters - Pairs well with Radiant Ring and Forgekeepers Prospector's Union - Pairs well with Radiant Ring and Forgekeepers

Re: Blade & Soul
@choof - which aspect of pve do you want to know?
@Haku - Found this vod and they talk about the uses of each crafting guild for current and possibly future content so this will help you know exactly why to pick certain crafts. Start at around 28:00 http://www.twitch.tv/impbns/v/37587038 It is very useful to have a clan of members that are leveled in seperate crafting guilds so you can share resources with each other and craft things needed for everyone. Using your alt characters can be handy as well.

Re: Blade & Soul
Well from what I know is common of MMORPGs is that they all get to a stagnate part in the game where things get repetitive and nothing feels new anymore until new content gets released so if that's your case MMORPGs probably aren't for you in general. With saying that though NCSoft seems to have an aggressive release plan for new content for NA/EU with the first new content coming Feb. 10th. and what I've heard is that Blade and Soul doesn't really hit its peak best until level 50 content is out. When you hit 45 right now it's important to do your dungeon/faction/arena dailies in order to make money and get important items for enhancing gear etc. The PvP in this game I find really fun though for some reason and the skill tree in this game allowing you to change the function of a lot of your skills is pretty fun to use and test different play styles for different matchups.

Re: Blade & Soul
This game is boring if done alone. Its so much better with friends, and makes it all worth it.

Re: Blade & Soul
I'd give Blade and Soul the edge over Tera (this is coming from someone who's played Tera endgame for over 2-3 years and was first level 65 Slayer on my server) because it's PvE is a lot more different between it's dungeons and feels like each one is different from the other.Tera however has a lot of rehashed same mechanics same bosses all the time with very few new things and they get rid of any outdated dungeon content constantly making it feel like there are hardly any dungeons to run all the time only to re-release them again to make them more relevant to the current gear and no veteran player wants to see the same dungeon again and again. On top of that Blade and Soul runs so much better compared to Tera. Tera is very known for lagging even the most decked out computers because of how bad it's optimized while Blade and Soul is running smooth for me even on my terrible laptop lol.

Re: Blade & Soul
For me, here is my review so far:
Pros: -------------- - Fun with others - Combat is engaging - Classes are very different - Classes range from easy to difficult to learn and master, always a challenge - Each zone feels new and different Cons: -------------- - WORST VOICE ACTING EVER FOR THE MAIN STORY HOLY FUCK - Sometimes laggy at peak hours - Membership = More gold drops = pay to win kinda. But you can play for free so its not that bad - YoshL is playing

Re: Blade & Soul
just remember when you play BNS guys
the bottleneck to getting gear in this game is time, not money |

Re: Blade & Soul
yeah time-gated equipment i think is way better to have than money/rng-gated equipment
sure, making new characters will be painful - but having daily dungeons to do and raids to be doing on a consistent basis is a good thing especially because bns is just not a game you play 24/7 (i mean you can, but it won't advance you that much faster) |
