Does anybody know the confirmed songlist of PIU: Exceed? I haven't seen any official songlists for the American version so far.

The official song list is on Bemanistyle. Check there when it comes back up.
I'll probably get it just for Canon-D and the exclusive songs. I already have the Korean Exceed home version

PIU has some great music, so it looks like a worthwhile purchase. I've listened to some of Banya's songs, and most of their classical remakes were impressive.

I think DDR is a bit easier to get used to, and Konami (based in Japan) is bigger in America than US-based Andamiro (creator of PIU), which is why DDR itself is more popular. Those of you that haven't tried it and are bashing it: Shut your mouths. Play it before you pass judgment. It's not even at the level of judging a book by its cover.
PIU can most definitely be, if not already true, harder than DDR. Five panels instead of four, plus required hand plants? It's not as easy to master, or even begin to play. Plus, Andamiro's PIU cabinets are of higher quality that Konami's DDR cabinets. The panels are more sensitive to lower pressure (because of hand plants), yet higher endurance overall. One look at the screen, and you'll notice higher resolution, and much better graphics quality in PIU. If you still don't like PIU, Pump It Up: In the Groove 2 includes Andamiro's cabinets in a 4-panel setup akin to DDR. PIU is a lot of fun, though, so do yourself a favor and give it a try.

And I remember playing PIU for the first time at Disney World. It seems that Disney World has a PIU cabinet in every arcade.

I played it, it was very confusing, I guess if I played it for a while I could get use to it.

I rather enjoy Pump. It's a nice twist on an already interesting concept. Problem is, there are so few places nearby that have it anymore. So...I play whenever I get the chance.

I play both DDR and PUI, but only cause i live next to PIU. im good at dancing PIu, i think it is really more dificult than DDR, but almost all the songs r crap. I guess if the ddr musics go to PIU, piu gonna be an descent game. And u know that wnhen u start plaing an typ of game like: I stated with DDr, and im playing pump, is get really more difficult.
The best thing about pump is the freestyle |

PIU owns DDR bcuz:
- Harder - Better music - Banya >>> then um... what was it... Naoki? - 5 >4 -Background movies that arent crap - More songs -More classical remixes - No obno guy going 'Oh yeah' or 'You got em' in the middle of your songs PIU did NOT copy DDR. There was a 3 month difference. PIU just got screwed byDDR going to America first. |

I'm more into DDR and PIU:ITG. I just can't get used to the 5 panel setup; gotta love those 4 panels. Quints in strange positions don't appeal to me. PIU's song selection sucks as well; went through all the songs, only found about 2 I liked. Never played the thing again.
PIU:ITG is better than DDR though. Sexier songs, sexier difficulty, sexier graphics, sexier pads, sexier machine. ITG = sexererer than DDR. |

i hate when people call itg 2 "pump it up: itg 2," it makes me wonder why andamiro made roxor cabinets in the 1st place, and you cant really say that piu has a bad song selection because there is such a wide variety of music unlike itg which is pure electronica and ddr which is either a variation of maxx or some cheesy englrish(mix of japanese//english music, often japanese with some english words)

Okay, DomDom, I didn't want to get into anything here, but you've crossed the line. I don't take kindly to people that shoot off their mouths and fling insulting remarks when they don't even know what they're talking about.
1. The official name for ITG2 is "Pump It Up: In the Groove 2". God forbid somebody calls it by it's real name. Most people still call it ITG2. 2. Andamiro is making money by making the cabinets for Roxor. Andamiro gets to put their name and series on the game. Andamiro gets to take business away from Konami and make it their own profit. Now why would Andamiro make cabinets for Roxor? 3. The ITG series has as wide a song selection as PIU. YOUR problem is that you fail to realize that the most danceable tunes are genres related to DANCE, which includes electronica. Some ITG songs are NOT related to electronica; however, they're very much underplayed. I wonder why.... 4. DDR has A LOT more variety than just "some version of maxx", because the Max series did not appear until 6th Mix. 5. We know what "englrish" is, except there's no "l". And you, my friend, are wrong. "Engrish" is the common misuse of the English language by the Japanese. What you are thinking of is J-Pop, which is quite plainly Japanese pop music, which is quite far from "Engrish." I hope you've learned, DomDom, that shooting off your mouth like that will have you end up eating your words. Posting your opinions is fine, but don't post your opinions so arrogantly. Also, make sure you really know what you're talking about before you say it.
