![]() It would also be fun to either cast the replays, or have it streamed, if like, people not playing wanted to watch, or you know, whatever.

![]() Updated OP with names and possible maps.
Now, do we want separate divisions, or do we want one large bracket with seeds. |

![]() It would probably be more effective to assess the participants' skill gaps before deciding on single or multiple brackets.

![]() Ooh SC2.. Sadly I'm more of a Brood War > SC2 kind of person, although I do own a copy of SC2, I just hardly ever play it as the majority of my time is spent playing Brood War. I also am nowhere near as good at StarCraft 2 as I am in Brood War haha.

With that kind of distribution probably two brackets or maybe 3 (but we don't really have enough people for 3) would work better. >Diamond and <Diamond or something like that.

![]() So what Spook (Thrillhouse) was suggesting is that we do one large bracket.
(This is after he kicks my ass 3 - 1 and he's in silver I'm in gold. Boy do I feel stupid.) If I do that then the initial pairings will be based off where your ladder rank is at and then you just go up the bracket like usual. OR The other option is that we have every one play everyone in a bo3 and then I place on bracket from there. I'm trying my best to keep this as fair as possible I mean I don't want to put a rank 8 diamond VS a rank 100 Bronze first round. That'd just be silly. |

I guess the most balanced would be something like... Group pool play then Bo5s. Top two advance, bottom two go into a losers bracket. So it's a double elimination tournament but the pool play at least helps sort out the skill initially. The other alternative to this, is to just set up an ongoing league and just have weekly match ups for funsies and cast some premiere matches and eventually go into playoffs once we get more players. I would go for multiple brackets only if we get upwards of 32 + players. I just want to point out I took down Middie 3-1 today. Son.

Yeah yeah yeah, rub it in. We'll duke it out another time. By the way, I post replay packs online so heads up these games are in there.

I reallllly like this idea over the other one. But if we do this, the problem is that I'd have no clue how the **** to run one of these leagues, so if someone here really wants to help with this, I'd be more than happy to give it a shot. |
