Re: Bunch of Files You Probably Don't Have Volume 3 Released
I had like 30 of these files downloaded in a folder called MISC2 and then I had to delete all of them to avoid duplicates
:< ps random notes because hey why the hell not (if you don't see your file here it's probably because I didn't play it yet !!!) SO MANY PUPPET FILES OMGAH YAY. Cross Time > the poop version in DCP. Szamar Madar is already in Xoon 3, though :P reppin' for AlexDest - Centaur is great, haven't played the Nero's Day file yet but I'm sure it's great too. I also want to state that somehow when I wasn't looking Choofers became one of my favorite stepartists HST's Cosmic Itch YAY Patashu's Innocence was pretty good, even if I still like rog's a bit better. I wish he still made files. ilikexd's files are all varying degrees of good. The Least 100 didn't do a lot for me - the approach is somewhere in between jimerax's and Kil's so maybe it'll resonate with other people. Run Run Run is fucking dope, though, and Sacrament was good for what it was too. random files everybody should play: LongGone's 8.6; Ferrari's Rottel-da-Station; all the Ferrari Megaman files; bmah's SMOKE; Don's SIN (even if I'm fucking tired of that song); Valor's Wax Crayon Sky; PURPLE HAZE; everything I mentioned up there (oh and my files too) Last edited by moches; 02-10-2014 at 10:53 AM.. |

Re: Bunch of Files You Probably Don't Have Volume 3 Released
Gah, I redid Endless Dream and DOSSOLOGY quite a bit now, files are pretty outdated. Ah well, lots of files really should be played here. Unorthodox Red, Mercilessness, A Beautifull Degeneracy, 8.6, Chain Destruction, Guchagucha Coke Screw, LuvLabPoison are just a couple that are pretty enjoyable to play.
On another note Tenkuu no Yoake is off by more than a beat (0.417 or so), rofl. |

Re: Bunch of Files You Probably Don't Have Volume 3 Released
I was gonna post something and then I forgot but then I remembered in class.
These packs are really cool and definitely a great idea. I think it would be a good idea if, say a week before releasing the pack, you PM or somehow (attempt to) contact all the stepartists whose files you plan on using letting them know and giving them the option to send you a new version or to opt out. I imagine almost nobody would want to opt out; in fact, most people probably wouldn't respond in any way or might be inactive for a few days, but some people may have made changes to their charts after having given them to other people or posting them in the simfile forum and having received feedback from others. I also think it's just a good idea to let people know you want to use their work in a project beforehand. Personally, after releasing Run Run Run, and having had a few people play it and give positive reviews, I was quite happy. But I was also given some pointers and made improvements and changes in plans to release it more broadly to the public in a pack. Now that this is released, I'll just include the old chart and have the new one as a harder difficulty, so no big deal. But it can be a bit of an annoyance/inconvenience in the following situation: Stepper posts single release, possibly looking for feedback File is played/looked at and generally praised but also given constructive criticism Stepper notes criticism and makes improvements to chart, planning on releasing improved version in pack Thanks for doing these. |
