god dammit I played for like two hours and that was my only improvement

brb playing Nova Pulser in SM on slowed music rates and intentionally misreading it so that I can AAA it in FFR

By reading the arrows, people don't notice it but there is two skills.
Playing to a perfectly synced song, getting the AAA because its perfectly synced with the music, or getting the AAA when you actually READ the arrows, such as playing with no music. Its kind of like AAA'ing the offbeat songs compared to the synced songs.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Also, I usually screencut a little bit more on offsync stuff, it helps.

The skill I was referring to is training your mind to read the actual arrows incorrectly so that you get a better score. It's only an issue on songs that can't be PFC'd, though.

Play the jack section in Nova Pulser as 16ths and you'll either get over 30 goods or misses. To get any decent PA you have to not read them as 16ths, it's just that simple.

Calculated max score on Runny in case it ever becomes useful to know it.

The 3rd minijack before the long one, two bits in the long jack, the right part of the 397 pattern, and the first part of the last hard up jack are un-PFC'able.

5 mandatory goods total. An AAA on Runny is officially 5 goods FC.

EDIT: brb calculating it for everything

k complete list of the max score for every un-PFC'able song in the game:

Hellbeat: 1 good
Crowdpleaser: 16 goods 3 averages
RunnyMorning: 5 goods
Nova Pulser: 7 goods
100 Bar Blackout: 2 goods
Chrono Trigger: 631 perfects, 8 goods, 8 misses
Final Fantasy 7 Battle: 1 good
Caprice: 3 goods
Molto Vivace: 14 goods
One Minute Waltz: 7 goods
Synesthetic: 2 goods 2 averages
Gradeus: 2 goods
Party 4u: 2 goods

You might be able to get goods instead of averages on Crowd and Synes, but I seriously, seriously doubt it. Also, there's some way of getting 774 or 775 combo on Synes by using jack glitch and goodmisses, but 2-2-0-0 is the best you can do with 773 combo.

It's possible to get 631 perfects, 0 goods, and 8 misses.

But I think you'll agree that 631 perfects, 8 goods, and 8 misses is a much better score.

irrelevant miss on the last jack, best accuracy yet though.
