2. That is not the only explanation. Lets break it down: A) The flood never happened. Nope, sorry. Not only is there no evidence for the literal biblical flood, ancient history also tells us it didn't happen. B) The mountains were once regular earth just like any other. 3. We are still evolving... 4. I would believe it because it is a fact, supported by mountains and mountains of evidence. Actually, I wouldn't believe it, I would know that it is true. Evolution didn't 'create' man...no. We were slowly crafted by evolutionary mechanisms over millions of years, supported by a flood of DNA evidence, Fossils, geological evidence, ect. The notion that we arn't evolving is strange...and seemingly arose from political correctness, because of course all humans are created equally and there are absolutely no differenes between populations! Udder nonsense. We are still evolving at a rather rapid pace. Evolution doesn't stop just to play to your religious beliefs or ideals.

Re: A big problem for Evolution?
Just a note to point out that the fact that we as humans have been growing so much taller in the last few centuries is that our diet and general health has improved exponentially.
I would say a better recent example of evolution was published in UK newspapers just last week, that Britain's warming climate is having an affect on the size of sheep http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6453615.stm ding ding! there you go |

The lack of Critical Thinking in this Critical Thinking thread hurts.
From now on, any post that has horrible spelling and grammar will be completely disregarded. As in, I'll delete it. Or edit in marmaduke quotes. Whatever I'm feeling up to. |

Re: A big problem for Evolution?
As I just said in the Ken Ham thread, I'd like to know why it's such a big deal for Christians to accept that, maybe, God created us through evolution.

Re: A big problem for Evolution?
Because the bible doesn't say so, and if the bible is wrong, people might question there faith, and now there is a LOT of evidence supporting other thoughts and ideas which would be detrimental to the church so the church tries instilling that its beliefs are always right thereby corrupting the minds of children such as chocaholic. Then these people refuse to believe anything but what the church tells them.
Run on sentence because it was a rant. Sorry. EDIT: Coincidentally the new South Park demonstrates what I am saying. Last edited by RandomPscho; 03-18-2007 at 10:06 PM.. |

Re: A big problem for Evolution?
Because it goes against the rules of science.
Science is the pursuit of knowledge. Scientists can accept intelligent design as a theory, but there's no way to pursue that theory. Intelligent design means "well, we can't understand it because some super-intelligent being thought it up one day oh well back to studying global warming or something". Natural Selection is able to be studied. Therefore, it will be studied. |

And since he is banned, I decided to post it. And I agree with Squeek about the idea of disregarding any mispelled or grammatically incorrect posts, i.e. Choca's. The page in the picture says that his general IQ is 141. In some recent posts he has said that another test he took says 149, but I can't seem to find that picture. Well here is the pic: |
