@Gundam-Dude: Nice single digits on A's. I will never be able to do that xd

CTH-480 tablet size is amazing for jumps but imo, it does not go well with the pen it comes with because it is way too light and makes it harder to control if you get nervous or sweat easily. I recommend using a heavier pen for the CTH-480. Now, if you plan on getting a CTL-470 (or CTL-471), you have a high recommendation from me. This is just my thought of it so take it with a grain of salt. Quote:
EDIT: @kjwkjw: Holy shit, that HD+HR score. I do not think I have ever seen you play HR so that was a huge shocker for me o.o

Re: osu! - Rhythm is just a click away!
Been seeing a lot of people asking how to get better, so thought I'd post something that helped me quite a bit actually. I came across this video one day from NoClue aka Clueless Gaming. I'm a mouse player myself so a lot of his advice helped me a ton! But he touches on general tips and strategies as well for all playstyles. He covers some pretty helpful reading techniques and he talks about some "shortcuts" you can take that make a lot of difficult maps easier to understand and hit. One of the biggest things that helped me was actually decreasing my mouse sensitivity in-game, I used to think I needed it higher to hit better but I actually became more accurate with a lower setting (atm I have it at 1.00x I used to use like 1.8 or something XD). Anyway here's the video:
http://youtu.be/afSDFmADbJc Hope it helps some of y'all, because it helped me a lot!

Re: osu! - Rhythm is just a click away!
The only thing I don't like about the CTL-470 is that the pen nibs grind down way too fucking easily—so much as dragging it across the tablet multiple times grinds the tip like pencil lead, when the CTL-460 pen nibs are way more resilient and sturdy.
got slider breaks on both of these but more rank fixes !! now the only A's remaining are the ones I literally can't touch or have the worst mental blocks ever

Re: osu! - Rhythm is just a click away!
Yeah, that is definitely a big issue I also have when it comes to the CTL-470 pen. I just got my tablet two days ago and I am already seeing signs of wear. I am starting to believe that they lighten the nibs on the ctl-470 a bit to reduce the amount of scratches left on the tablet after each nib use.
Also, nice accomplishments Patrick. I hope you end up fixing those slider breaks. I finally reached 97% on this! If I could just time that whole stream midsection, I would get around 98% :<

Oh snap, I hope your tablet ends up coming today AJ! I can not wait to see your tablet scores :3
Welp, I got another speed boost. I definitely understand how to gain speed now. This was pretty ridiculous lmao xD

really nice speed @ Dear You Byron, AR10.3 and long and frequent streams .. ;w; also sick accuracy on Kyun Kyun, get dat SS ! ! ! solid accuracy imo, nearly nailed the streams.. I screwed up in the beginning and ending though haha :L this score doesn't look very pretty, but I managed to combo all of the streams.. it's really hard for me to believe that this might actually be FC'able for me in the near future xD |

Re: osu! - Rhythm is just a click away!
Double post since this forum is empty and I do want to draw some attention with this post: is there any sort of hangout for the osu! players that hang out on FFR?
Was just wondering, haha. |

I looked through osu!'s forums; though there are plenty of mentions of FFR in some comments, there doesn't seem to be any thread specifically for it.

Re: osu! - Rhythm is just a click away!
Thanks Zyph! That mad machine miss count literally blows my mind. How you do that is beyond me xd
I remember back several months ago when I was not able to S this map. I tried it today with HR and look what happened.

Got my tablet, yay.
I remember it taking me over the course of a week to pass Calamity Fortune (Hard) -- I passed it within half an hour of trying the tablet. Now I'm just trying to improve it, haha. Hopefully I'll have video of a really really good run (maybe one that beats my old mouse score?). |

Re: osu! - Rhythm is just a click away!
hey guys do you have any tips on increasing trill speed with your left hand. I have no problem reading notes but I'm always terrible at streams, really frustrating. I think the mechanical keyboard is hindering my performance and I was thinking about just getting o-rings to help with that issue.... what do you guys think?

Re: osu! - Rhythm is just a click away!
It depends on rather you are used to pressing your keys all the way down or not. If you are one of those players who does not like pressing your keys all the way down, get an o-ring. If you have a black or red switch and you do not like the fact that it is sometimes hard to tell if you pressed a key or not, get an o-ring. If you have a blue or brown switch and you do not like the loud noise, get an o-ring.
Otherwise, I would not recommend it at all. As for gaining speed...I will get back to you on that.
