Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
palindrome, because of the 32nds, is either a high 3.5 or low 4... haven't put that much thought into which it should be.

Essentially, it's because it contains no long jacks, which are the hardest thing in FFR by an extremely large margin.

Passing difficulty is fairly meaningless, since passing any song is easy if you mash.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I was thinking about this the other day, and forgive me as I have not read all 18 pages, but should the coloring of arrows come into play for ranking? Personally, hard levels seem much harder to me when they are not colored, and hard levels that are colored seem easier.
I was reading back a few pages to the CIA Rave vs. Etude debate, and personally, I find Etude much easier. I can see the point Shashakiro brought up about indexing, but the arrow coloring on Etude seems to help me out so much to the point that it makes it easier than CIA Rave. I can imagine that if Etude were all blue arrows, it would be a lot harder. Last edited by Fryguy9; 12-23-2006 at 01:07 PM.. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
i agree with fry guy... i believe that i could FC CIA rave if the notes were colored... but since they are not it becomes alot easier to misread the notes making me hit the wrong key :-\

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I thought it was obvious that I meant 15 on the 1-99 scale, which would imply what it would be on the 1-6 scale, but I'll specify next time. I havn't played any of the other new songs enough to know yet.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Now, I may just be a newb, but I would think that See You Dance would be somewhat harder than snowflakes.
For one, I can FC Snowflakes but not See You Danced. And also both songs have the same BMP and are within 10 seconds of length of each other, yet See You Dance has about 120 more notes. Just abstractly, it would make sense that See You Dance is more difficult. Either Snowflakes is placed a little too high, or See You Danced is underated a little. So don't get me wrong. They're placed in the right general level, but if it were my choice I'd place See You Dance at 21 or place Snowflakes lower. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
added Chaotic Sound on low 4.
SYD is quite the same difficulty as Snowflakes at the point of skill requirement, while SYD is longer and has more notes so I'd move Snowflakes right above SYD. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I have no idea whether this (rose) is a high 4.5 or a low 5.
It's one of those.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
It's a little hard to judge.
Compared to other 180 song.. Definitely harder than 2003 and Tension. Carrousel/Dot Death, patterns are easier but needs more continuous speed. Easier than CI, KYA, Klung. so low 5 (68) for my first impression. |
