Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
focusing on the left hand helps but i still block. it's hard to explain. it's like my brain just won't allow me to play after practice a file that isn't very easy for long enough.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I can AAA everything (not in one run) cept for the second jumpglut. I always miss or get a ton of goods, averages, and boos there :<

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Yes, exactly that one. And also this:
which happens twice or thrice, and this: once, but it always screws me over, like on a 2g run I had up to that point. whoops

ss'd, pause the replay, practice the patterns logically for 20 minutes etc.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
ah, hadn't looked much into the dense section. i don't drop misses there, so i haven't worried as much about it. but hadn't noticed those 'interesting' sections before XD
you could def (and i think i do) cheat that and 'roll' the last jump

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
My problem with the D3 song last night is I'd just pick up tons of goods due to the lag. I was able, at least, to AAA up to 140 or so before random goods would pop up, so I think once I play the file more and get used to the patterns (still haven't read all the way through), I'll do better.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Get out of here, that's one of the easier sections to do. Every other pattern is balls, this one is easy as the jumps are at the beginning and end, and they're both using one hand so less splitting.

After all, large gains in skill usually come in shockwaves as new insights are gained, and these new insights are gained efficiently by thinking consciously and logically about matters. There are almost 10 people in my book who could easily win D2 in this way if they tried to do this a bit. I don't think Reikonkeiri meant to make an arrogant statement implying he would easily win, though. He was probably just playing the obligatory defence against the people who would call him a misplaced sandbagger. The difference in honorability between someone who does well only because he was misplaced, and one who does well because he worked hard to become better is very large, after all. |

I sent Jae a message about this person like a week ago: they have 17-1-0-2 (full combo, fully played, not a fail out or anything) on Ketsarku Mozgalom and they're somehow staying in Division 1. You can't sit there and say direct everything to private messages and not having anything answered, come on now. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-29-2012 at 01:22 PM.. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I think the harsh consequence for sandbagging in tournaments is to call this tournament the last official. That way, sandbaggers will feel guilty, but they probably won't even give a shit haha

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Well, I'm sorry about complaining yet again, but to call this file a 66 is definitely wrong yet again. I will be out regardless, but the fact that I've been 2 to 3 goods from AAA'ing Lawn wake I (difficulty 67) and how i have like 45 goods and 9 averages and numerous boos on this 66 clearly shows that the rating is not correct. If you rated this a say a 69 or 70, I'd have no complaints and just accept the fact that those files are above my level. 66's however are not, but they are when not given the proper level. so yeah, i'm out.
