This is how I work too. I think it is a pretty good way to do it.

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
When you spoke about jumptrill usage, did you mean just the ending, or the ending plus all of the five-note jumptrills?

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
Before making any final changes to your submissions, please wait until other judges have reviewed your file

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
(SulferDragon) Deep Blue
The 12ths mixed in with 16ths wasn't innovative at all. It just made your chart look like a mess. Other than that, chart lacks replay value. Rejected. (Cyrenics) The Prototype Old school style stepping which is acceptable. Though it does irk me that there aren't any hand placements. I'm going to have to agree with moches for the jumptrills and say keep them as single trills (one handed 34 trills would work better). You're already layering jumps to the faint clapping noise so the jumptrills really only work as a way to express the music more and emphasize the part of the song. Overall, nothing notably wrong other than missing hand placements but due to song choice your file was repetitive and lacks replay value so I'm going to have to Reject. Even if you do fix up the jumptrills, your file still wouldn't warrant an accept from me. Pick a better song (one that isn't repetitive and generic like Dimrain songs).

Screamwar... U member. Although this is the first time that I used bpm tricks. I thought the bpm tricks would kill the repetitiveness. Guess not.
Oh ya... Im not good at stepping breakcore songs and this chiptune song appears to be mainly that. I hope you guys dont mind me using freezes in some parts instead of rediculous rolls. Last edited by operationstrawbarry; 08-28-2009 at 01:05 PM.. |

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
Ill try. I just dont know what xths they are though. Some of the rolls that I didn't step though makes some parts massive dumps though.
I guess I can try it. PS: Might need some help with the breakcore part of the song after my first submission. |

Fair enough, Gundam.
Still, I had fun making the file. I'm sure I'll find something else to step in a week's time. |
