Re: World of Warcraft
I love how this thread doesn't get any action at all recently. WoW is ded gize
No really, a lot of the new patch 4.3 stuff looks pretty cool. I still read MMO-Champion pretty regularly. Excited to see how the Heroic Deathwing encounter works. I might re-activate my subscription for 1 month just to check it all out and say hi to people... I'd love to start raiding again but it's such a time-sink. The problem with this is that "1 month" always turns into a year or so. Bad self-restraint

Re: World of Warcraft
Thats why you play on a private server. You aren't paying so you don't ever feel obligated to play because you never spent any money. You can take month or year breaks and come back whenever for a day or a week.

A vanilla private server is pretty lame, vanilla sucked.

Re: World of Warcraft
Can't play without dual specs and resistance huh?
If anyone could recommend me a working, stable private TBC server I'd be eternally grateful. I don't think anyone can argue that TBC WASN'T the best xpac. |

Re: World of Warcraft
I've played WoW since it came out, Vanilla isn't what it's hyped up to be. It was a piece of s***, but it was the best piece of s*** out at the time. Resilience was a stupid idea in bc, but the xpack itself was pretty fun until they brought in nerfs.

Hmph. Fair enough. (I played since around patch 1.11 and quit before Cata. Also ment to say resilience, I'm too noob I guess.) |

New offer from Blizzard.
Sign up for a full year of WoW and get automatic Beta entry into the new expansion, an account-wide mount, and a free copy of Diablo 3 when it releases. |

Re: World of Warcraft
That is a terrible deal... I would want way more than that for giving them almost $200 in advanced for a subscription that would most likely not be used to its full extent.

Re: World of Warcraft
It's not a year's worth of sub time up front, it's a committment to continue subscribing for a year, so you can continue to use whatever rate you were already using.
I pay bi-yearly, so the cost is about 155 bucks, for sub time I'm going to use anyway, 100% for sure, in exchange for that time, a beta invite, a mount, and a probably 60-70 dollar game that I'd be buying as soon as it came out anyway. So what I'm -actually- getting is one year of WoW for 90 dollars, which is basically half price at the monthly rate. |

Re: World of Warcraft
So what do you think of the new expansion that was announced? Mists of Pandaria, Pandarens are the new race, level cap increased to 90, and Monk is the new playable class.

There are some things I like and some things I'm just kinda iffy on. I'm interested to see how the new druid talent tree will work out (I might actually roll one if I like it enough). I'm interested to see what the monk class is like, I heard it's going to be a POWERFUL healing toon. One thing I'm iffy on is the challenge mode of dungeons. Heroic wasn't enough? Now it's timed? Meh.

Re: World of Warcraft
Just want to comment on a few things:
1.) TBC was in fact the worst rated xpac ever to be released. It was ****ing horrible. The leveling in that pack was completely screwed up and took EXTREMELY too long. It was boring to get to leveel 70. But when you did the PvP'ing and Raids were pretty good. Personally, I find TBC in the bottom of the list. 2.) Have you guys heard of the new XPac "Mists of Pandaria"? The brand new one coming out late next year I believe. New Race/Class Level up to 90. Looks pretty decent to be honest, opinions? Go to Blizz Con's website and you can read the info. or at mmo-champion I believe. 3.) I want to sign up for that deal with a sub for a year and Diablo 3, that would ****ing be awesome |

Re: World of Warcraft
When I dungeon, I like to do it casually. Especially if there's a lot of skinning to be had, I will sit there and skin it all. You are right in how it shows a player's true skill, but it's just a matter of preference for me.

Re: World of Warcraft
I'm quitting WoW forever. Cata was good for a while but is now suffering the wrath of the Lich King and catering to noobs. I don't care about hard mode, if I beat a raid on easy mode beating it on heroic isn't very satisfying cause I've already done all. **** this game I'm getting Guild Wars 2.

Re: World of Warcraft
It's in addition to, not instead of normal dungeon running. Just don't do it if you don't want to do it.
