Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Lucario may be overused, but it's still a great addition to a team depending on its moveset.

Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Lucario combines power and speed. It also can learn a lot of great moves. That is why I think Lucario is good to have on your team.

Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Lucrio is in the overused section but that is because it's obviously a very strong pokemon and the fact that the champion has one i think.

Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
I've been using one since I got to the 6th gym, and honestly, I wouldn't give a damn if the Champion had one or not, it's still awesome.

Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
That Regi is somewhat useless though. Although its stats are godly, its ability limits it for the first 5 turns. In other words, it'd die before actually doing anything.
Unless you can find an effective way to withstand attacks for the first 5 turns, it's useless. That and it's ugly. |

Don't forget that he was in a movie, was rumoured to be a legendary, and has a cool colour scheme.

Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Lucario has a lot of resistances due to its Steel typing and has a good mix of available Fighting moves that take advantage of both its high Attack and Special Attack power. It also has decent Defense and HP, meaning it can withstand the occasional Earthquake despite having a weakness to it.
Also, Aura Sphere is one of the best moves in the game due to its good Power, fantastic accuracy, and awesome PP. Luc is one of the few Fighting types that can learn it naturally and take advantage of it since most Fighters have ****ty Sp. Attack.

Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Metagross is most definitely good and fits in better in most situations, but Lucario fills in nicely for teams who need a good Fighting type that can resist most other types, especially since he's a perfect counter to Tyranitar, who is becoming more and more popular due to the Physical/Special split.

The ship is in Snowpoint City. You know the dude that said he wishes he could someone somewhere special if they were reconized by the Pokemon League, talk to him and you'll be at the Fighting Area, where the Battle Tower is.

Re: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Also, if you have the National Pokedex (meaning you completed the Sinnoh Pokedex), you can search even further in that area and find some of the older Pokemon in the wild like Raticate and Fearow.
