Read physics of Santa Claus . Explain the
physics of a god. Belief has no inherent
value, but worship of such nonvalue as a
god, equates to nonacceptance of Cubic
knowledge - as demonstrated by ineffable
Truth and the Highest Order of Wisdom.
I can talk with a human for hours about
the Time Cube and they will agree with
every claim I make. But at the end of the
conversation, they remark that they believe
in the nonvalue belief god and cannot
accept Cubic Creation, regardless of all
the ineffable Truth and Wisdom it proves.
A Belief Matrix pulls a 1 day world over
your eyes, while the real Cubic World has
4 simultaneous days in 1 Earth rotation.
Educators own your mind and fills it with
garbage, that will soon destroy humanity.

You know, I'm starting to notice a pattern on FFR.

-Someone makes a thread regarding something for/against religion. (In this case, I would say against)
-Someone makes a post that pisses one person off.
-Thread instantly becomes a debate thread.

Repeat.

I was just trying to prove the same point you're making now about how you think atheist people under atheist belief do terrible things. Thanks for help proving my point and proving you're a ****ing dumb ass.

Look at it this way : What if you always knew what the color yellow looked like (I mean, everyone does, with the exception of those who are colorblind, but anyways) and then someone comes along and tells you that it is black, and they truly believe that it is. Imagine the feeling you would feel at that time - something you know to be yellow and someone really believes it is black, and understand your stance on the subject if you two were to argue about it. You would hold your ground and have an aggressive stance, because, after all, you know it's yellow. It's just common sense, and you can't believe that this guy really thinks it's black. You would probably roll your eyes and not think highly of his intelligence.

Sidenote - All I did in that paragraph was break it down into a simpler context that maybe some of you could understand more. I'm not saying it's okay to degrade others, but there is a method to Rubix's madness.
It's not madness -- it's called being rational and utility-maximizing. You don't get either one through religion.

I would say, though, that the analogy is flawed. It's not as "debatable" as me thinking a color is yellow versus someone else saying it's black, as if both views "could be equally valid" and it comes down to personal interpretation.

It's more like if we both showed up to the scene of a crime where we find DNA evidence, fingerprints, evidence leading us to the suspect, bits of clothing that perfectly match the holes in the suspect's clothing, video surveillance showing the murderer entering the house and then firing the gun, ballistics substantiation, blood spatter consistency, multiple independent eye witness testimonies, footprint evidence, etc -- only to have someone say "I don't really think he did it -- it could have been Leprechauns who did all this. The evidence doesn't convince me."

There are only two conclusions that one can draw -- either the naysayer is ignorant of the evidence and methods of interpreting the evidence itself, or he's insane.

For people who know what they're talking about, naysayers come across as extremely frustrating to deal with. Most of them just stick their fingers in their ears when you attempt to explain the evidence to them. People will believe whatever the heck they want as long as it suits them.

And so, for me, when people say "Hey, screw the evidence, I want to believe what I want," it becomes even more frustrating when those people take it a step further with "Because I believe in such and such, I am going to start shoving it into everywhere that I can, even if it causes problems for you."

That's how religious people come across to me. Ignorant and arrogant. And yet theists are the ones who typically accuse atheists of "being closeminded and arrogant" when the exact opposite is true. Atheists are generally atheists *because* they are openminded and they *embrace* ignorance and don't try to cover it up with snake oil. How would you feel if I *insisted* that the Earth was flat and that you were arrogant/dismissive to tell me any differently? That's how it feels when people try to push forth the idea that the Earth/mankind was created by God or that we have a higher purpose. The evidence suggests other conclusions -- it's just that most people don't have a firm grasp of the evidence at that level.

I didn't mean actual madness, I was referring to the term "method to the madness" - the reason why someone does something.

As for the analogy, it's not set up so that both, as you say, "could equally be valid" and comes down to personal interpretation. Yellow is yellow, it is not black. Everything you were saying in your previous post is exactly what I was trying to get across to everyone else, without having wall-of-text syndrome.

tl;dr I know what you mean, even if you didn't comprehend it that way.

It is because colors are just attribute interpretations. This is more like ignoring attributes altogether.

You are taking it too literally. The initial message that I'm trying to portray is someone else (black) is supporting an ignorant view, and that you (yellow) are aware that this view is ignorant, and thus become agitated, taking an aggressive stance, because of how foolish and absurd the view is.

I understand that, but I'm just saying the analogy isn't entirely accurate to the context of the situation, here.

But yes, in the end, the point is that the religious guys who are naysaying the evidence are just outright nuts.
