In addition to the nuclear power plant issue, electricity shortage is the biggest issue in Tokyo now (and this will last for months at least).

Resultingly all infrastructures will stop (if not all-time) in such a big city, which will cause various fatal issues most likely.

More Earthquakes 7.0 Or Above Predicted For Japan Within Next 3 Days Per CNN/Scientists

I know that 4 plates are rubbling together under Japan, but enough with this already I can't watch this any longer...

They are getting an aftershock almost every thirty minutes. I feel so sorry for them right now.

Based on that link there, Southern Alaska just had a tiny earthquake D: this is spreading so far, it's upsetting. Makes you wonder what really is going on right underneath our own feet.

Whats going on is Alaska and Japan are both sitting on the Pacific ring of fire, which is a network of tectonic plates bumpin' and grindin'.

If something affects Japan, odds are pretty good sympathy quakes will appear elsewhere along the pacific rim. I wouldn't be shocked if some rather large earthquakes started hitting Cali or increased volcanic activity in Hawaii or Washington.

Yea, I figured that was the cause. I'm surprised there hasn't been more widespread activity such as in Canada.
