Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Zoast is a monster at Super Metroid.
Haven't watched a lot of decent speedruns lately, got kind of bored of ZFG spamming attempts at OoT 100%, and Shaeden (Pydoyks) doesn't stream as often lately. Cosmo stream is always donator%, CirnoTV is interesting as always but he's not good. Honestly Go1den's WR for Driar this week is the only interesting thing I saw. |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Finished Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and decided that the measly four hours of gameplay wasn't enough for me so I started speedrunning it lol. The glitches aren't too terribly difficult to execute and it's rather fun. I need a ton of practice but I have a good feeling about this one.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Found a new route through Tsunami Bowl today that lets me take the shortcut on the first lap. Got it down to 1:53.24, then knocked off another tenth of a second while tinkering with drafting off the AI.
Also, apparently the starting gate on that track is destructible. Sub 1:44 on Lost Babylon Gauntlet is nope because of all the explosives around the orrery near the end. I almost cut through it once, but at that speed with Rad Hazard you can't afford any mistakes.

It'd take a mod to do it right, so I'm just gonna leave this here. |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
agreed^ no harm done in making a thread especially considering how inactive this one was at the time

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
*grumble grumble*
*food drop* ...fine. Working on a LoZ run, still pounding out the route. (Can't remember how to get the silver arrows, might need the red ring too for peace of mind.) There's luck involved, more so with this game because of enemy behaviors. Farthest I've gotten without dying is through 5th dungeon, saving Level 6 for last because the wizzrobes in a couple of the rooms are a bitch and a half.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
The problem with that is that they're not working alone. They've got red ones and like-likes and occasionally even jinxes in the same room.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Gonna poke this thread back to life because I finally got one of my speedrunning goals today:
Sub 25 super meat boy Depressing thing is that now my splits are relatively decent up until Rapture. I lose at least 4 minutes between Rapture and The End in these splits Probably lose a minute in salt factory as well. Time to grind practice. |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
No stream, no vid (Easy way to record this?), no ss (That was stupid of me). But...
Single Segment Pokemon Yellow PB: 2:16 Pokemon Yellow Segmented PB: 2:32 I use Playr.org for my ~emulator~ so I hope these still count. -o24
