Well, that was quick. I broke my promise of never stepping again tonight. For shits and giggles. Because I realized some people actually enjoyed my files!

I knew this thread was up, so I came with one and a half brutal files (will finish the other half tomorrow, hopefully in time. I was lucky to check the deadline...). Maybe too brutal. I know I can't play them at all. Look forward to them.

EDIT: By the way, I got rid of the strings in the main breakcore section of my song, and it actually sounds better without them, what the hell, haha

I try too hard sometimes, lol.

I do want to fill in that space with the violins, but perhaps with a less active melody.

Just sent Prequel to the Sequel. Over 8 minutes with a number of bpm changes, and a whole lot of hours spent on it over maybe 6 months. I definitely hope all that translated into a fun/good file, it's probably the last I'll be stepping (at least for a while).

Yeah filler would be cool. Like the beginning was awesome but once it got into the main section everything started clashing

I added some strings that arpeggiate with the rest of the background, so it sounds more powerful overall -- you made a good point and I'm rather happy with the result.

I still need to figure out what I'm going to do to transition out of that sequence of breaks in terms of a cooldown, because after that cooldown, the BPM will go up by 10 again (start is 190, breaks come in at 200, cooldown will be at 200, final breaks will be at 210).

I need to get it done and make a chart for it before the batch closes, haha.
