Re: The Fitness Thread
A few months later and I'm now ~125lbs, which I feel is a healthy weight given my height and body comp. I've definitely lost some muscle over the past 8 months, though.
Not sure where to start with regards to weight lifting, but I'd like to read up on it. |

Re: The Fitness Thread
chris you look great. it really shows what is possible naturally if you take essentially the ideal course of muscle development over two years.
on the flip side, photobucket. fucking photobucket. that's like the smith machine of image hosting. |

I don't like running. I prefer to walk. And also cause I have flat feet... and my knees were irreversibly damaged about 6 months ago from a fall down some stairs. So I'm scared if I go running and trip like I always do when running, I will f up my knees even more. |

Re: The Fitness Thread
So, it's happening: I'm making a home gym so I can work out in private.
Does anyone have any input with respect to equipment? I'm thinking squat rack, bench, weight tree + plates, floor mats, and an Olympic bar -- and possibly an EZ Curl Bar. |

Re: The Fitness Thread
That's pretty much everything you need, except the EZ curl bar - ditch it. I would just curl in your squat rack with the squat bar, like a boss.
And you literally just need a bench, not the entire setup, to bench, since you can do it in your squat rack. Don't know if you know this or not.

And yeah the squat rack would be used for pretty much every exercise -- I'm planning on using the safeties constantly as well. Out of curiosity, why not the EZ curl bar? |

Why no ez curl bar? Serves no major benefit IMO over a conventional bar, so it's a waste of money. I mean, if you really like them or something go ahead but otherwise I don't see the point.

Re: The Fitness Thread
I feel the EZ bar is easier on my wrists... but that might only because i have some shitty shitty wrists.

Re: The Fitness Thread
Yeah now that I'll have a barbell, I won't be limited.
Thoughts on the SL program? ICF? |
