I doubt it was posted to contribute to the actual argument here. The argument seems to be about, or, well, has been about, the difference between the gaming styles of tourney players and friendly/home players, whereas the comic has a tourney player who isn't crazy and a friendly player who is crazy. Yeah. It seems we like throwing around extremes for fun. Throwing around extremes can be fun until you actually believe in them. The comic is funny but not "on the money". I could probably go in to more detail about this if I was better at picking out words. Final Destination is really fun when you set the damage ratio to x2.0 on Tiny Melee with only poison mushrooms and green and red shells. But then it's more like massive death. (Which is very amusing in this sense). |

I'm real excited for this game to come out, I usually just play my 360, but this will be the game that finally draws me to the Wii for at least a week or two.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
I personally do not like tournament rules and wavedashing.
And some people I know call me stupid for it. Items make the game more fun as well. |

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Gragh, I just got an e-mail from my editor for the review site I work for. He has a copy of Brawl - allegedly - and he is playing it.
Of course, I get games like Raw Danger and Afterburner and Spongebob Squarepants: Underpants Slam to review while he gets Brawl and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Someone needs to dish the games out a little more indiscriminetley.

Someone needs to talk to someone. Preferably on their knees with hands clasped in front.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Well I'm pretty sure March 9th is the definitive released date for North America, since the Japanese version has been released already.

I was unlocking some of the things I never bothered to unlock on my save of Melee, and I realized I don't even have Final Destination unlocked.
Gasp!

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Since it's been a while and no one answered my question, I'll ask again. Can anyone who has played it give an official statement on how Pikachu handles in relation to how he's handled in the past?

http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=141632 I'm extremely curious as well. Pikachu is my main character in SSBM, and it sounds as though he got an upgrade. So I doubt that will change. Edit: Found a Pikachu discussion thread: http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=140872 Edit #2: Pikachu's down smash is holy god amazing! Last edited by travman301; 02-22-2008 at 05:00 PM.. |

oh gaaad, i cant wait for it.
oh man, "it really grinds my gears" when someone doesnt want to play with weapons on. Thats the whole point of the game for me. Chucking a used up laser gun at pickachu's forehead - only to see it fly off screen to its death - no greater joy.

He's like how he was in 64. However all of his moves are faster; no more up-b lag, yay
