Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
I can see why people think the file should be rated lower if they have little to no problems reading through colours. In terms of what skills are required to PA the file well, probably a bit less than the average 70. But the increased difficulty in readability offsets that imo, which again, certain people will have less trouble with than others. If this were to be bumped down, I'd be really uncomfortable putting it anywhere lower than 68, and even 68 is pushing it for me.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
@Alek and fission which engine are you using?
Also, arguably the bursts in Fast Asleep are harder and faster than the ones in UC but UC is longer leaving more room for error but not by much really. Fast Asleep is a 67 and seems to be harder to be consistent on than UC. Either way like I stated before there's always going to be differing opinions on file ratings no matter what.

Whereas I told Rob it felt like a 72 after playing it once.

Tried Velocity, R^2, and R^3. Getting bullshit good syndrome even when I don't think I am lagging. Was never a problem before last week.
EDIT: It was definitely noticeable on Velocity. I somehow didn't AAA the beginning (lol). It feels like I am getting 30 frames per second all the time, but input isn't registering on the correct frames? IDK.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
I gave Slam the Door a playthrough and I'm not noticing this good issue, not sure if it's engine specific or maybe you guys are experiencing a bunch of lag maybe.
Edit: Just saw your post Fission, yeah idk issues started like end of round 2 but let me try out R2 and 3 see if the same happens here. |

For me, it works for like the first two plays and then the lags starts to happen.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
What's funny is I think that the cutoff for this round might make that seem correct XD. Most people found Oops to be only slightly harder than Retro City though.
Honestly the site itself has been running a little poorly tonight. It might be better to just give it a shot tomorrow and see how it goes. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
Was able to nail it on R^2 after 6 8 tries because FUCK COLORFUL CHARTS. also, if this gets dropped below 69, I'm seriously going to cry, holy shit... Kayla got her best score in two tries; it took me six tries to AAA and three tries just to get better than 3g.
...and I'm supposed to be D7. faejrhsdkltgsafhvcfktjsdzfkhsd EDIT: 8, not 6 |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
I bet it's more lag issues than actually skill issues.. I'm expecting lag drama because every files are good~

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
Most likely, I definitely can't play on the Velo engine because of it right now. Even legacy is giving me some issue but it's bearable. I think I actually would have nailed this by now if the Velo engine weren't acting up .

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3!
Omg yesssssssssssssssss
This song is so brutal x.x (78 feels low to me and I find this song harder than Shotgun Surgery from last tourney in round 3 as well haha) Took me 51 tries to finally get my best score. Got it recorded on vid too but that'll be uploaded later. This better be good enough to go to round 4 because I don't see myself improving this ;__;
