The jumpstream at the end is hard for me when it's condensed into the left 3 notes
Not sure how to put the pattern into the number format I see some people use Anyway, does anyone else use anything close to a 2.75x speed mod? |

That's a pretty fun song... Congrats on the token! I know how annoying it can be to choke on those :P
I use 2.75x for speed personally, but only on R^2/R^3. I go with 2.3x or so on the other engines because they seem shorter so I have less readahead space.

You guys... I use 1.8x on Legacy and even that gets too fast for me sometimes.

If you've ever played a certain korean game you're forced to get used to the higher speeds pretty quickly... It's either get comfortable with 5x+ or deal with the speed randomly fluctuating ±2x in the middle of the song :/

You get used to higher speeds eventually. The thought of going above 1.3 was just insane about a year ago for me.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Divisions 1, 2, & 3 Discussion Thread
Agreed. I used to only play on 1.5x on Velocity--and now I am up to 2.15-2.3. It just takes some getting used to.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Divisions 1, 2, & 3 Discussion Thread
I remember when I started a year ago I maintained 1.2 for a couple months and slowly increased speed over the year, it wasn't until i noticed that I was playing around 2.4-2.6 on legacy/velocity that I decided to slow down to 2x speed. Increasing speed does help with spacing arrows apart, but being in a lower division with a super high speed can also be bad because once you start skill boosting and getting into more dense levels it will start to get really difficult in distinguishing all the patterns and arrows that fly past your screen. Unless you have extremely good reflexes, going too high in speed isn't always good. That's just my opinion anyways.

It's always good to change your scrolling speed every once in a while, whether it's higher or lower. |
