Re: Lights' Suwuper Special Towournament!!1!1!
Finish!
Well done guys! Here are our placements: Light 1st: Black_Shield 2nd: Diddleysquin Completion: Puzzler64 First place goes to Black_Shield who was consistently able to put up scores that edged out diddlysquin throughout the tournament, including a dominant showing on rounds 2 and 4. Puzzler unfortunately missed the round 1 deadline, but put up incredibly competitive scores the rest of the tournament and had an excellent Round 5. All 3 of you put up with some pretty nasty courses. Well done! Standard 1st: Janko2000 2nd: Lopansuperman 3rd: Figular20k While starting off slow, Janko quickly took a pretty commanding lead as the sets got harder and harder, continually putting up strong scores as the difficulty ramped up from D3 level to low D5. In a show of endurence, Lopan landed second hanging on to the very end of a Grueling round 5 set. Figular20k presented a good run throughout the tournament, but failed to submit a score for round 5, finishing 3rd. Excellent work guys, Sorry to hit you guys so hard with that round 5 set. ;p Heavy 1st: T-Force 2nd: Ositz 3rd: Dixiecup T-Force survives the "gruesome things" found in Heavy's round 5 set and comes out with gold! Strong scores throughout the tournament paying off with sub 200g on the final gauntlet. Ositz finishes with a respectable second place and some very clean runs throughout the tournament as a whole. Dixiecup rounds out the winners circle with her feat of perseverance and holds on through sets that, quite frankly, I never intended for the D5 portion of the Heavy division to be playing. Oni 1st: jh5013 2nd: Thasyka 3rd: Hakulyte jh5013 lands in first place with a commanding lead throughout the entire tournament. Despite all the adversity I tried to throw at him, he just doesnt quit... Thaskya rolls in at second place- even when "not feeling it" still manages to show off those d7 anchor arms. Finally we have Hakulyte whom, with a solid run to round 4, showed us what the #1 Grandtotal player is made of. Good work to everyone except Klarion whom was eliminated twice for his crimes against humanity. Oni-er 1st: Matthia 2nd: Newson You're both nuts, Matt beating the score benchmarks I had in mind for each round and Newson putting up some truly mindblowing performances. Congrats to both of you! Prizes With an unexpected Prize pool of 1.6mil credits, we'll be giving out some much nicer prizes than initially expected! 1st: 215,000 Credits 2nd: 72,000 Credits 3rd: 36,000 Credits Puzzler, as a Suwuper Special Cowosolation prize, will be receiving the 3rd place prize for the Light bracket!. Newson and Matthia will split the third place prize, awarding them each 90,000 and 233,000 Credits respectively. Whats Next? For those of you that enjoyed this format of sets- there may come a sequel tournament sometime in the next year or two. A lot of mistakes were made on my end that should and will be addressed next time. In the next couple weeks I'll be releasing sets in the same style (but a bit less harsh in their chart selection and more thoroughly playtested) as a Stamina minigame for those of you who want a little more hand breaking action! Thats all folks! Merry Christmas! Last edited by Lights; 12-25-2021 at 12:02 PM.. |
