Re: actually controversial opinions
there are several people who try to change the definition of cult to include my faith and I've never seen one that would include islam

Re: actually controversial opinions
people don't change often at all
i am literally unable to differentiate phatic communion from real propositions, but assuming the former seems like a pretty safe bet |

i re-read your message but like lol u really cant differentiate some idiot being like "hahah how about that weather recently xD" from someone asking you a real meaningful question to get to know you? oof like lol why would you possibly assume the former when someone asks you something relevant, like "oh how did your exams go", its clearly not just a mindless question like "lol how are you xD?? oh im good, and you??" Re: actually controversial opinions
I think I'm the same way
when someone asks me hows it going I have to stop and think about the question and it ends up giving me anxiety

Xavier is great because it pokes fun in the right places. A rape joke that makes fun of a rape victim is not funny. A joke about rape that makes fun of rapists is more funny (case in point: the "the implication" joke in Its Always Sunny) Jokes like this are true reflections of one's morality. Pretending that SJWs are banning jokes is disingenuous, we're just calling you out when you place the victim as the subject of ridicule. EDIT: pertaining to Xavier, Xavier is an idiot. We are laughing at him because he's a pseudo intellectual asshole.

Re: actually controversial opinions
i did play games in my childhood. mostly stuff like halo ce, battlefield 1942 and nfs high stakes. even if i did play mario and pokemon, i'd grow out of it at some point. you aren't still watching elmo, are you?

the notion of "play" never fades in human development. the suggestion that the kind of play exhibited in Mario or pokemon is inferior to that of Halo because the aesthetic style or target audience is for younger people is completely without merit |

Re: actually controversial opinions
im not saying it objectively is or isn't. it's an opinion. i think it sucks and only kids would like it. that's the point of this thread. you'll never convince me otherwise. you could say venetian snares is not inherently more sophisticated than taylor swift. great, taylor swift still sucks though

Re: actually controversial opinions
you're saying certain genres of games are for kids, which I'd argue is objective and wrong (EG not an opinion). You can say you didn't like these genres of games as a kid but that just means you're weird.
pokemon is a big dumb and I play it anyway, I'll happily admit that but mario is for anyone man megaman is infinitely more childish and also infinitely more for adults than mario is because of the trolly and terrible game design these games aren't "for kids", they're "for everyone" and that means having attributes that allow for young'uns to enjoy them too. You're just too stuck on those to realize that games can be for more than one kind of person
