I improved my 5k time from 40 minutes to 34! I think I can break 30 if I really push myself.
Aside from just running more often at a faster pace for as long as possible what are some tips for imrpoving my time? Or is that really all there is too it. I imagine dropping weight will make things easier but I'd like to do what I can now apart from that.

I’m not as fast as I used to be but I can still run a mile in the 6 minute zone.
Controlled Breathing and the tempo of your footsteps helped me a lot. |

The downhill helps, but even then, the grade-adjusted pace (Effort-based pace) doesn't show that I was going much slower than if it were flat. It definitely helps momentum wise though haha.

improved my 10k time from 56 to 49 minutes earlier in september
now I'm training for a half-marathon in spring
