Yes ive seen all the episode they have shown on adult swim. Its somthing about little slugger hitting people and making them better. And everyone in the beggining and end theme is eventually someone who gets hit by the bat i think.

Shounen Bat hitting anyone doesn't make them "better," as you will come to find out as the series goes on.Comment

Oh... The people who were attacked by Little Slugger seemed 'relieved'. I think Little Slugger targeted people who had issues, such as the lady who had a split personality. Hmm... What an enigma...

Haha, it's funny watching you guys try to figure it out. Just go download it instead of having to wait for AS to air all of it.Comment

Hmm... Too lazy and plus, this is the computer for 4 people (my family, meh). I don't think they would appreciate some anime to take up space on the computer... I'll just be watching AS forever. Lol

Wow, I just finished the ending to paranoia agent. WTF. Can anyone help me understand exactly what happened? It was beyond my comprehension, kinda like the ending to FLCL with the giant irons and everything. Anyone?Comment

Okay, my computer is a piece of crap, so I can't DL this, but I'd like to know exactly what the fat guy in the mask stomping on little slugger symbolized. They said they arrested him, and the fat guy was completely unaffected by his blow to the head, so why is he still included in the circle during the ending theme? Damn, one episode a week is NOT enough.Comment

Spoilers below
The kid who hit the fat police guy isn't the real Shounen Bat. You'll find that out in the next episode, which is one of the most amazing things I've seen.Comment

Hmm... I liked this episode and I think that one episode a week is great because it makes you think about what is going to happen in the next episode. And I probably won't come back to this thread for a while because I don't want to see the spoilers!

So how did the people make the little slugger real, when it was originally just in that designer's mind?Comment

Well, okay, basically, my opinion of Paranoia Agent is that it's a parody/exaggeration of mass hysteria. Tsuki was the first victim, and she inflicted her injuries upon herself. However, due to the explanation she gave of Shounen Bat, the public began to believe in him. The collective beliefs of the populace made him real, in other words.
This can be seen with Maromi, Shounen Bat's counterpart, as well. Well, perhaps counterpart isn't the correct word, for, as the series states, Maromi and Shounen Bat are the same. They both offer false hope to the populace, false happiness. People believe in them because they want to be happy without working for it.
Tsuki's defeat of Shounen Bat by her own acceptance of the event, is, I believe, a metaphor for the entire human race's acceptance of facts. And then the end of the series strengthens this, showing that, even when you can dispel the illusions you want to believe in, everything remains exactly the same. This is further enforced by the imagery of Maniwa as the old man.
Oh, and assuming I misread your post, the kid who hit the fat police guy is just some random kid who wanted to imitate Shounen Bat. He's a nutjob, too. lolComment

This week's episode was hilarious. It was pretty cool, too. But...if this fake Little Slugger was the one who attacked those two kids...then...augh, I'm just making myself even more confused.Comment
