Re: The Fitness Thread
Haven't really lost weight, just been leaning up. I can see my ribs, abs are back, etc etc.
Strength appears to be about the same, although I can't really tell because with mountain dog you either do the compound exercises last (for maximum fuck me potential) or not at all, like with bench. Definitely stronger on incline bench though, went from struggling with 225 to repping out some 275s. Not really that surprised, pretty much any chest exercise (and legs, and everything but arms/back) if I actually focus, I'll get really good gains. |

Re: The Fitness Thread
Gained 2lbs over the 8 days, empty stomach morning measure on both. Probably a great deal of water weight.
Feels okay on the food still gym day Squat=160 :/ Bench=115 I am not sure what shape I want to be in yet in terms of how much weight I want to end up doing. Since I don't know people around my size to compare to. Since I am trying to do Ping Pong competitively I want to be around 150-160 and nothing less than around 8% bf ultimately. I don't want to be too heavy to the point where I slow down too much on ITG.

Re: The Fitness Thread
I'm 5'3.5"ish and I want muscle gain(w/o steroids), and a nice stomach.
tips please. I'm not in bad shape, I just wanna look better. I have access to my campus gym(and pool) and I've been going 4 days a week for the past 3 weeks. I have noticed some nice changes but, I really don't know what I'm doing. I have no planned diet except to at least eat something in the morning. I'm also still reading down this thread for helpful information so hopefully I find out what to do.

Re: The Fitness Thread
I've been doing mountain dog training. Figure out your calorie requirement for maintenance, then eat a little more than that.
steroids aint the end all be all! There's also HGH...(I kid) |

You need to consume adequate (~1g per lb body weight) protein and total calories. If you want to build new muscle tissue optimally you need to be eating more calories than your body needs. If you want to burn fat while preserving muscle you already have, you need to eat less calories than your body needs. Figuring that out can take some trial and error, but the easiest way is just to think about what you eat normally and use that as a reference. If you're used a particular portion size, increase it if you're trying to gain muscle. Do the opposite if you're trying to burn fat.

Re: The Fitness Thread
This weekend, I started going to the gym with my room mate. I told him I would start working out with him, and he's keeping me to it, and I've told myself I need to stop being a bitch.
Since losing 60 pounds a year and a half ago (restrictive diet and fat burning pills, which I haven't taken since), I've been maintaining a pudgy 220 with a decent diet, but no exercise. I haven't been in shape since middle school. I've got a long way to go, but at least I'm going. I'd really just like to lose my gut and moobs. Whatever else comes of this is gravy. |

Then again, that's pretty much the only place I have fat left on me, plus some still on my quads. So annoying.
