Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Have a couple of good scores for the day, getting better at scoring on lower difficulties. Also I greenflagged everything today >.< (or blackflag, or something I dunno)
argh arrrgggghhhhhhh Lol 1 great and 4 misses, that's interesting. Still at pretty proud of staying consistent in terms of accuracy for a song this long. Just gotta get the footswitches down. Better score, proud of it but I wanna star sometime. Wow this is ridiculously hard. Almost as hard as hold your color, I was really debating if this should be a 13 or not. I know it's slowish but it just never ever lets up. Here's the chart btw, since it's new I doubt anyone played it.

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
So this guy up here ^^^^^^^^^ is trying to get me to pass Watercolour since he says its so much easier than 30 MIN HARDER's hard chart... which I disagree with solely because Watercolour's longest section is basically 64 measures with no break from streaming whereas 30MH is only 32, and I have a 98 on 30MH (which is admittedly really fucking good for me... my accuracy tends to stay good even when my legs are dying lol). In any case, I tried it a few times today since the pads seemed to be working a little better. I got my first double star in over 6 months... yeah, they're that bad, even on 10s and lower. I failed both tries on the 2nd half of that middle section. So I was getting ready to call it a day but I decided to do one more hard song to burn out and fail on, so I decided on Dokudenpa's hard chart on the off-chance that I might pass it out of nowhere.
Well... um... huh :3 I'm usually pretty bad at 190 streaming but the easy patterns help a lot lol. I would also guess that around 15 of those misses were not mine, and if that were the case the score would be around 95. Sigh. edit: Its the one from Sharpnelstreamz, a relatively new pack that everyone here must DL or they are not cool.

Oh well awesome score dark! You'd better get that watercolor pass soon or I'll be mad. Sorry, they don't let us use the usb slots at howies, they just have one person put on songs instead and we all request stuff (I think it's seth who manages it, but also someone else named sheldon). It's what's kept the machine going so long, only one person manages it instead of everyone, so the store managers have much more faith in that and keep the machine around. Anyways I actually have all videos for the day. They take forever to load so I won't actually be able to post this for forever but you know, videos. hurray. o.o Anyways..... 30MIN Harder (15) 86.30% Passed another 15! This one I personally think is harder than the fountain because the patterns are a little more challenging for the majority of the file, but no one agreed with me I'm on the left, my friends on the right. Also he's playing no bar, and then beats my score too, so yeahhhhhhhhhh >.< To luv me I *** for u (16) 70.25% (really close, but no pass) I really really really want this to be my first 16. I realize after trying that end stream I may have a ways to go, I didn't realize how hard 16 measures of 220 bpm stream was gonna be, boy gonna need some work. Still I am closing in on this

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
They do know you can just use the USB for score tracking/screenshots.

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
I was at the arcade in Newmarket for a few hours and the only things I'm proud of doing are passing Scatman 1.1 (246 candles lol) and 90ing Steel Bomber which is also my 3rd pass on that song. Still SUBLUMINAL. I still can't do Watercolour rofl.
Also, made it to the second break in Moonearth again. It's really tough to finish the song at that point because I play in socks and my feet hurts quite a lot If anyone's wondering where Newmarket is it's here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39bH_XvZkJU The pads are really great and people there are soooo nice. Also, there are like 800 custom songs hacked into the machine. Last edited by MinTS2; 03-16-2013 at 10:37 PM.. |

You're like the 6th or 7th person I know who plays in socks now, to be honest it's almost a majority haha. I tried it once but it hurt my feet too much, I can't figure out how not to hit the brackets >.<. Anyways about the scores, that steel bomber is ridiculously better than the last one you posted, that seems like an absolutely fantastic score for you. Then again I don't think I've seen you post in a while so I don't quite know where your at. I still don't understand how you can be that consistent at 220 bpm songs (especially one with a ridiculously long stream in it) but you can't beat watercolor of all things, like I played a 16 and it seemed more tiring to me then watercolor. It's probably because you have amazing form or something I guess.

Actually my form isnt even that great. I just try hard to minimize movements as much as I can. Good thing about playing in socks is that I know exactly where I'm hitting on the panel and it's much easier hit the panels closer to the centre. I have a footwork video of me playing Dancecore Girl (200 bpm) back in October. You should check that out My footwork has improved quite a bit but my stamina seems to stay the same That is probably why I hate constant streams. To me, DF 15s are much easier than Pendulum 14s. It's weird but I guess that's just me haha. Also, Steel Bomber was pretty weird because I almost FCed the 2 huge runs but got some CBs later in the song for being ridiculously tired lol. Next time I go, I'll get one of my friends to record my feet to see how I stream 220+s. Last edited by MinTS2; 03-16-2013 at 11:25 PM.. |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Nice pass, Stian. I remember that chart having some awkward step placement, haha.
If you want to try venturing into the 7s, take a look at Beautiful Morning on Hard -- it's a slower song, but it has slightly trickier step placement if I remember. |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Do you sock players wear just one pair, or more for protection? A friend of mine used to wear 5 pairs at once when he was playing speedy songs for score, although he had trouble finding decent shoes for his size 15 feet XD Absolutely fucked us on any song with hands in though.
