Glad to see Countdown and glaciate do well, honestly surprised at how well Calling Mars did(was expecting more reviews like Gnr's tbh). Probably gonna send minor fixes for Mars based on judge reviews.
Idk if this could work, but I had an idea for a system to calculate if a file passes or not. It's pretty primitive compared to Wilson's, but I wanted to find a way to keep the "disregard most severe and lenient judge" system since it didn't seem you guys already decided for an actual 4 judge per group system.
Instead of just not taking into account the most severe and lenient ratings, you could simply half their value to make them weight less in the final equation. Roughly, it would look like this:
Also, I am assuming that usually, files with an 8+ average are passing. Would it be logical to let those files which scored 8+ be in queue? (8+ may be a little too lenient but definitely 9+ deserves to be in queue.)
If we hypothetically, have a batch of files that are all of good quality, I think it's unfair to discard some of those files because the average rating is high. I think there should be rating that defines a line of automatic acceptance to the queue.
using the algorithm
Galaxy9:7.1333333333333333333333
Can't work out the tunnel accurately but it would be somewhere in the 6.5-6.8 mark (depending on what the pass value would be)
While on the subject, since The tunnel did get 1 !, does that mean it will be excluded from getting the pass rating?

A [!] rating is given if the file is definitely too hard for the batch. I've noticed that the other judges who did review the file did not seem to give a [!] so I played it myself just now to see how hard it is. Seems to me like a high 9, and that's only because of two measures which contain short 32nd bursts. Without those measures, I wouldn't even say the file would contest a borderline difficulty. I would personally accept the file for review. I'll see what the supportive judge who'll review the [PASS] files have to say.
Well logic might dictate you slapping a pass due to the preview music, or the fact that you've hated p.much every single one of my files since I started stepping and didn't wanna bother because you knew you'd be super-biased and likely throw a 1 or 2 on it.
