Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
Well a fix is a fix I suppose !
This reminds me of my early days of programming. Using rather crude and inefficient methods to make things work. Of course now I need to stress out over it again :P. Either way, I have to say this tournament has been TONS of fun. And so far, it's been a very good game with my division. Everybody still in, congrats on making it so far. |

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
Glad you're enjoying it ^_^
Edit: Alright got everything sorted out now with tiebreakers. At the end of this round (start of new round) those of you in a tiebreaker will be playing another song and will have 24 hours to get your best score. You will have to submit screen shots for tiebreakers. At the end of that 24 hours the person with the best score moves on and the others will be knocked out.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
It's not exactly identical, but later on becomes the same patterns. If you're getting random goods, which I've did a lot, it likely means you're slightly falling behind/speeding up on a song that isn't exactly fast. For slow songs, emphasis on pretty much everything I hit helps with accuracy, although it tires me a bit more. Sometimes it's just how you hit those keys. Sharp short taps to boost accuracy. Keeping your fingers stuck on the keys will likely result in unintended goods from losing your feeling of "when to hit exactly".

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
not the very very end. the part right after the trill. I think im going to throw in the towel soon though. If I still can't consistently FC the song and the cutoff is 8-0-0-0 I feel pretty hopeless.

If it's the bursts (such as the intro), I usually "warm-up" by going to Dossar's engine and play 5.1.1 [edit] If it's the rest of the song, your best bet for practicing (that I can think of) would be (the majority of) Crowdpleaser.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
For the trill, as I said before, it's entirely sightreading the trill by looking closely at what you're hitting. You can't rely on the rhythms (e.g. you can't say they're 24th equivalent) so your best bet is to see the up and down arrows, and try to coordinate your hits with the approximate density of the trill as it occurs. Takes some practice to do because you have to keep track of these things, but the best way to describe it is "getting a feel of the trill". That's why you have to read it as you go, and not rely on rhythms.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
I can AAA the trill every time on spanish, but both the intro and the part stickly explained make me dump random goods and boos. I hate the intro because I can never AAA it. Always a bf or more.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
I play the intro with mirror off and the rest of the song with mirror on.. it's been working wonders. I just have to train myself to not get so ****ing nervous at the end :/

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
You can pull up the options menu anytime in a song. I think this is kinda a cheap way to play but the engine does it. Good thing is most songs don't have a break that leaves enough time to switch it.

Didn't realize it was taboo. tbh it's almost more trouble than it's worth anyway.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 5 has started!
no time to switch in most songs so not like it matters
