On another note you could learn how to take advantage of the frames as if you played index I suppose.

As in treat the notes like they're all on a different frame. like a 1234 quad if hit properly can be hit 12 34 or 43 21 or even 14 23 if you really feel like being tricky.

This doesn't really work on the highest difficulty charts, but it can get you at least through 9s I would think if you practice it hard enough.

it's a solution if you actually use the application and find which 4 keys will register simultaneously.

Wow, I just found out that my laptop can hold 8 keys at once on every non-F-key row.

The only problem with using it for FFR is that the keys don't all trigger simultaneously.

I opted against starting a whole new thread since this is a similar problem..but I switched my set-up to left shift z / right shift and the shift keys don't register..why?

Re: laptop doesn't register 3+ keys

Using shift seems like a sketchy thing to do. It seems like you'd activate that sticky keys thing all the time and screw things up.

Maybe the engine can't differentiate between left and right shift?

Hahahaha no, unfortunately. My USB keyboard isn't a gaming one; it registers the same amount of keys as the laptop keyboard.
