Something I worked on today. And it came out pretty well so far. Hopefully I can finish it before too long. Enjoy! |

You do know what clashing swords is a euphemism for, right?

It sounds fine to me...
About the only thing that bugs me (probably because I use this method the most) is that there's no supporting instruments -- just a melody, bassline, and percussion. Try not to take this too hard, though. It's just that the supporting instrument is a part of my music-making fundamentals. Otherwise, good work. |

Aero - Que?
Texan - Yeah, I realize that. I made this out of the blue, so tomorrow (or later on today to be technical), I'll be working on supporting instruments, solos, progressions, etc... |

Re: New Stuff - Clashing Swords (WIP)
What bugged me the most was the change about a minute in.

Re: New Stuff - Clashing Swords (WIP)
Try combing the kick drum and the bass into a single synth. Something tells me you'll be quite surprized. It's a great way to get a gritty and full effect that helps a chiptune nearly and totally pretty much come alive.
If you have no idea how to do that, drop me a line I can help you. For the rest of the song, the transition was a bit sudden, but the rest of the track still sounded nice. Try to separate some of the higher synths from the rest by upping the higher frequency on them. I enjoyed it for the most part. |
