Speaking of ToS, the first episode of the OAV is out and subbed.
Also, this is a good superplay video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgAGtwZ2pMk |

Re: Omega's analyzation of ToS Characters
Genis is my favorite <3 and Raine was pretty cool too with her nerdy artifact obsession.
I did like Lloyd, though. I don't know, his dumbness was somehow endearing. I also didn't hate Colette like everyone else seems to. I guess it takes a lot for me to actually hate a character.

Now at level 20. Everyone is now pimping in style, excpet for poor, ignored Colette. I bought her a more powerful weapon, just out of pity.

The PS2 version is graphically inferior, but it has a lot of extras. It's also only on one disc.
Too bad Namco never released it in America. |

@ Guido white text. Sheena is by far the most awesome character. I love her so. I love her fighting style and she can summon. She can even boost other characters stats and add elemental damage. She is such a useful character. Not to mention she can steal tp and hp. I always used a combo like (can't remember seal names) steal Hp then Tp then massive damage and knock down. I loved Presea because she's adorable and she does huge damage. I just love the "owned" feeling you get from her when she twats someone, kinda like how Genis' idignation is.

Re: Omega's analyzation of ToS Characters
Presea has by far the highest damage capacity in ToS. She can kill Sword Dancer 3 on Mania Mode with one Hi-Ougi.
Not really too fun to play as though imo. Too slow. |

Re: Omega's analyzation of ToS Characters
I really liked glitching with Sheena. You know when you do your normal attack, use magic, cancel it, and keep doing your normal attack?
Yeah, I really found it fun, rofl. |

The OVA looked cool. Something didn't seem quite right though when I watched it. Something seemed off like. It's good to see some of the signature moves in there though.

Re: Omega's analyzation of ToS Characters
I just remember trying to get the glitched moves. >.> Lloyd was pretty fun to use, Genis for insane spells, Raine for healing and Presea usually.
Sheena was cool, but terrible for fighting. I preferred Regal over Sheena and Colette. And also, Zelos only dies depending on how you play. |

Re: Omega's analyzation of ToS Characters
Well, the name 'Tales of the Abyss' makes sense if you've played through and understood all of the game. I guess 'Symphonia' would work too with all the hymns and references to sound, but the titles are always subtle.
Spoilers explaining the title for Abyss: The Abyss itself is under the Ortion Caverns. If you recall, that is where Dist and Van worked on their Replica experiments. The Abyss was the place with the highest fonon readings for replicated fonons, which eventually lead to the locating and destruction of Replicantis, the source of the high replicated fonon readings. With that, the remainders of fomicry research was destroyed. Therefore, the Tale of the Abyss is like saying the Tale of the Replicas, which is what the entire game is about. |

o
I never actually bothered thinking about the title of ToA. Phantasia, Eternia, Symphonia, and Legendia are all just random made-up words that don't have anything to do with anything. Tales of Destiny and Tales of the Abyss have actual meaning in the titles I guess. |

Re: Omega's analyzation of ToS Characters
That's a point. I can't wait to see Sheena and Presea in the OVA's. I hope they do them justice.
And I just noticed. Why the hell are HG-F subbing "Desian" as "Tethe'allans." Collette even says "Desians!" and it comes up "Tethe'allans."
