Re: Donkey Kong Country 2?
Since you own a legitimate copy of the game, I would say that there is no moral dilemma in simply downloading a rom. Sure, it's technically still illegal, but it's not like you're stealing something, since your copy of the game just doesn't work.
Alternatively, you could spend another 30$ on a GBA port (assuming that you own a GBA or DS), or wait for it to come out on Virtual Console (assuming that you own a Wii and a Gamecube or Wii Classic controller).

Awsome game. That really sucks that it won't work for you. Technically, it's legal for you to download a ROM of the game because you have a copy of it.
You could also try buying the SNES Game Cleaner Kit (if you can find it anywhere) and give it a guick cleaning. |

I wasn't aware of that. I shoulda probably researched before I said what I did. That, and I should never trust my friends when the topic involves pirating -__-;; |

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2?
Love the DKC series; first one was my first faved video game, besides Mario in between.
Anywho, my solution: Just get it on GBA SP and buy it from there.

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2?
We had problems with this at PEP. I have no idea what you should do, since we never could figure out how to play the copy that crapped out on us and started giving us that message.

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2?
I know I'm so mad! I have all 3 of them and only the 2nd one doesn't work!!!
I'm thinking of trading it in at another store and then get the money and wait for another DKC2 to be in there then buy it... I have a cleaner kit but I think we tried it already... will try again... The only thing I really hate is that no one any where on the web has fixed this problem... it says look in instruction manual for details but I don't know where its at!!! |

The GBA features lost resolution, lost color quality, and most sadly, lost music quality. Which IMO was the best part of the game in the first place.

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2?
Someone probably spilt water on it or something, that's whats usual happens when you get an error like that. I would suggest getting the rom.
