I don't know the song list on either game, but I'm pretty sure they didn't.

80s, eh? More Ramones would be nice. A rock cover of Hearts' songs lol, that'll be fun. John Mellencamp (spell check? never saw it in writing) would be cool as a warm-up. Let's see who am I forgetting? Alvin Lee was 80s, right? Throw in some Motley Crew (not that I like them, just a fav amist rockers)

It would be nice if Guitar Hero realeased a more modern version with songs from the 00's. Artists like Green Day, Papa Roach and Breaking Benjamin would make great additions.

Well, GH2's selection as a whole sucked pretty badly. I don't know what to expect out of them. GH1 had at least a few good songs.

GH2 was based heavily on metal songs.

Metallica does not allow any of there songs to be put anywhere outside their albums.

The 80's was a good generation for shredders. Lots of power anthems ect. Expect some more Van Halen, Guns N' Roses, Whitesnake, Kiss, Queen, and perhaps the first AC/DC song in the game.

The covers are very good instrumentally, but not so great vocally, especially on the Ozzy songs. Suprisingly, Killer Queen was done excellently in GH1, which is a tough Freddy Mercury vocal.
