Southern California.
Is now pretty much under fire and smoke, due to huge fires, that started in Corona, and managed, to spread to Yorba Linda, then Brea, and now here, in Anaheim Hills, where I soon shall be evacuated. and I have one thing to say.
THIS SUCKS! |

Re: Southern California.
I just got off the phone with my buddy, Josh. He lives in Anahiem Hills. I highly doubt I spelled that correctly. Anyway, he says the fires are getting scary. They did this last year. He says he can see them from his house. Scary ****, good luck.

Re: Southern California.
They are scary, over 6000 acres have been burned, and over 10,000 people have been evacuated. And 4 Firefighters were severely injured. And houses are burning down as we speak, this is horrible.

Re: Southern California.
Southern California seems to have a fire every six months or so... there was another big one a couple months ago this year, wasn't there? Or was it last year?
Anyway, I hope you are alright. Last edited by dag12; 11-15-2008 at 08:43 PM.. |

Over 500 homes burned down. This is bad guys. And there's still the Motecito fire burning to the North of me.
And yes, just as other places have natural disasters every year (hurricanes, tornadoes, etc) we get fires.

Re: Southern California.
If I remember correctly, there were firefighters being sent in to help from across the country for one of the really bad fires a few years ago. I think I remember my dad talking about the stations here trying to send men over (he's a firefighter, and yes I am in Florida).
Hopefully they can get this under control soon, so no more will be lost. I hope nothing bad happens to anyone else, I know what it's like to lose your home. |

Re: Southern California.
Best of wishes to you Southern Californians. Don't you guys get earthquakes as well? Make sure you have spare emergency supplies, and I hope you guys come out fine.

Thanks, and no, IO don't believe there was a fire a month ago, but there was a HUGE one, like a year ago or so.. And Mal is pretty much in the same situation as I am. |

Re: Southern California.
Alright guys, this is getting very out of hand now. From the top of my hill, I saw over 8 fires spread across from my view, in which was only a few miles away, and I just got back from evacuation, but this is getting very serious now. And I believe the fires hit a high school now, well, one of them.
