My keyboard is taking a dump on me - Or is it?
Lately, when I've been playing FFR songs when I get a series of arrows that go like
<-- <-- + --> <-- <-- After hitting the left arrow, the jump and usually the arrow right after the jump will always miss, no matter what. I've heard of the problem with jackhammers in this game and I'm not sure if it was fixed, but I tried playing on a different computer with a different keyboard and the arrows were fine. Should I consider replacing my keyboard or is there a less drastic solution? Edit : I solved the problem for now by using AutoHotKey, but I still would like to know if this problem could be fixed. Just drop a message here if you know anything. Last edited by EDEdDNEdDYFaN; 10-13-2007 at 07:27 PM.. |

depends on which song? certain songs that are over 180bpm will have 4-framers, and that could be the cause.
or it could be your keyboard.

If you are using a PS/2 keyboard it generally doesn't register as many keys as a USB keyboard.

Happens to me on songs like burnout and breaking the common, simple songs that I'm pretty sure aren't that fast. I'm probably just going to end up replacing this keyboard though, as it is pretty old. (Spinal : I think it is a ps/2 as well.)

Remapping keys like what you do should work.
I am using a PS/2 keyboard and I can't press 3 or 4 arrow at a time. I ended up remapping keys for FFR, and assigned it D, F, J, K. These buttons should always work as far as I know. |
