Default Clarifying Permission for deceased artists and adding a Pop genre

So I've been thinking lately...since the former king of pop Michael Jackson recently passed away would it be appropriate to step his music for FFR without requestingthe company's approval? His tragic death has devastated many fans including most of our community and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't include his music in the database, after all he was a great musician...

Also, I haven't been too sure about this yet but I was wondering if adding a new "Pop" genre might be possible. This might sound crazy but I'd like to hear your opinions on this.

edit: Let the ranting begin.
