Sudden skillboost: A Tale in Quadriphasic Systemology
So... on top of taking off my headphones during gameplay to hear my keystrokes better, I decided to switch my key setup to bottom row. In the 5 years since I have started playing VSRGs, I have not even once used the bottom row until now, and upon doing so the results ended up being simply phenomenal to me, to say the very least...
There's 20 screenshots, but at this point I don't even care. This was all in one session, I'm still mentally shaking as of writing this. This was all done on stream as well, so I went ahead and decided to highlight the entire session for any inquisitive soul's viewing pleasure. https://www.twitch.tv/csenc/v/89628812 Also scores are not purely in chronological order since some of them do stand out more than others after all. Anyway, here goes. Phase 1: Escalation was right after a rather quick warmup, ez from failing miserably to break past 93 on this due to poor control... to getting this on 1.1... what ez, not super good compared to the rest of the session but I'll take it improvable but probably won't be touching this for a while unless I'm really feeling it Phase 2: Ascension what misread do what rashidon't pretty glad I can finally do this comfortably, pa's pretty messy but that should do for now Phase 3: Unadulterated Absurdity that cbrush at the end ruined an otherwise absolutely godlike run, w/e keeping this for now lmao this is easily one of the most outstanding of the bunch botched the 97 due to trill misread, still a very respectable first AA nonetheless was pretty much smooth sailing aside from a couple transitions pretty sure that's actually fucking absurd actually held AA pace until the last set of streams and lost control due to density reasons I ended up passing it right afterwards, but with a score only very marginally better than what I got upon failing it. nigro circulation one gay - it's still too fast for me to properly control but I'll take it This actually happened during my cooldown phase, but I deemed it to be just impressive enough to feature here instead. To my understanding, my ability to handle polys is actually relatively above-average: as demonstrated by my control until I ended up completely tanking on the second half due to my stamina getting absolutely decimated in no small part because of the stuff I had been pulling off this session. Definitely going to give this another run someday considering it has been a major goal of mine for a very long time... that is, once I muster up the patience to put up with the awful intro again. Phase 4: Cooldown to clarify, I was already pretty drained after my attempts on a reyvateil's curse, makiba (twice), and lhc's op this session - therefore rip my pa 8 misses might be decent though... maybe? my control tanked due to aforementioned fatigue but this didn't turn out too bad I think 96 is rather respectable for 1.1, was feeling rather relaxed on this run as well 300 sustained streams, handled them quite well considering I chose 1.4 for cooldown purposes at any rate I'm probably going to take a couple days off in case my hands end up getting ebolaids to the point of me becoming unable to pass ageha 1.0 in the event that I end up getting proven wrong much to my surprise, well... that's fine too Last edited by DeadSignal; 09-16-2016 at 05:32 AM.. |

and yeah that brave shine is indeed pretty insane actually, still mildly upset at messing up the ending but that should still do for now Quote:
That being said I can probably relate to you to an extent assuming you're actually referring to not being able to hear what sounds the patterns you're playing are actually going to at all, since I definitely find that I don't feel very comfortable playing like that either >.> I just find it to be a rather delicate thing to balance out if anything.
