Braid Level Mods
Braid is a cool game. But it's too short and so unexplored.
... Did you know Braid has a level editor? ... It's had once since the PC release. ... Also all the mods are AWESOME I highly encourage you to try these mods if you have Braid. If you don't have Braid, but you've always been looking for an excuse, here is your excuse To play a mod follow these steps: 1) Extract the mod to your braid folder under steam, it should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Braid\universes\silverbraid 2) Right click, properties, set launch options, '-universe silverbraid' (must match capitalization of folder name exactly) 3) Play. Braid will keep a save file separate for each universe so you don't have to worry about overriding or losing progress. (And remember, solving puzzles yourself is way more fun than watching someone do it for you! ) Silverbraid http://pcmappeur.free.fr/silverbraid/ I recommend this as the first mod to play because it works well as a continuation of the original game - it picks up on the difficulty curve, starting in the same 'gentle, introducing one new idea per puzzle' and ramps all the way up to brain busting in worlds 4 and 5. I have beaten this and love it for its innovative and challenging puzzles. Tim's Modyssee http://www.moddb.com/downloads/tims-modyssee A mix of newly created puzzles and remixes of older ones. Has interesting abuses of physics and a self-referential puzzle repeating design similar to the original Braid. Quite hard @.@ the difficulty curve is all over the place, some levels are trivial, some levels are challenging to find the solution. I am still working on beating this one. After the Epilogue https://www.dropbox.com/s/2xp1ru4gelz5s3t/AtE.zip This is a 'hard mode remix' of the original levels. Most of the difficulty (so far, at least) has been from increased executional requirements and puzzle differences are minor (sometimes actually easier). Pretty much a filler mod for if you don't feel like thinking too hard. Expect lots and lots of jumping on rabbits Worlds 6 and 7 (?!) are amusing in this mod, you will see. Also make sure to play PostPostEpilogue for the very last level Stone http://www.filefront.com/17335668/stone.zip/ A remix of the original levels for added difficulty - however this is much more carefully thought out and makes large changes when needed, and the puzzles get very hard as you go on. This is apparently the second hardest mod. Nova http://dl.dbank.com/c0vzl2irhl alternate download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v0e0kmer59...va.zip?v=0rc-s Saving the best for last, this is a REALLY good mod, with all new levels and music, really creative level design, really creative mechanics/physics abuse and an amazing feel to it. Every level starts out looking like, 'how can this ever be done? it looks impossible!' until you discover something clever that makes it all click, so don't let the first level discourage you, poke around on levels after it. I've only beaten world 2 of this so far, it's hard but I love this mod Definitely check it out! Hard and satisfying.

Re: Braid Level Mods
Updated my opinions in the first post after trying out a bit of Modyssee, Nova and Stone (though there is still a lot of them to go for me)
