My No-Life Skills paid off!
Getting $20 like a boss! This may not be that important to you guys, but this guy with over 28k subscribers posted a challenge that only me and one other guy did and we got featured on his channel. I think it's threadworthy, anyway.
inb4 this isn't a blog inb4 should have been a random thought Feel free to post any experiences you've had where you've been featured or made money by gaming!

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
It was just some local tournaments. I played one Melee and one Brawl. I won the Melee but came third in Brawl since I didn't actually own the game at the time :/
That actually feels like such a long time ago. I think I'm gonna go play some Smash Bros. now |

The only money I've ever won from gaming were Pokemon tournaments.

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
One time my uni hosted a League tournament and some friends and I absolutely swept it and won $30 rp cards each
To be fair though the people we were facing didn't ban amumu + kat until their second game facing us, heh

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
like -10 ish on mercyful fate. It was the final song and I had to beat the guy on it twice cause I was in losers bracket LOL.
it's that 11min song from Guitar Hero Metallica. This was several years ago when that game was pretty new.

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
Oh my God that song with haunt me forever. I have at least 400+ plays on that song from me just trying to FC it. I had such bad habits and nerves with the part that starts around 1100 notes and just asdjflaksdjflaskdf. Once I got that I never played that game again and that was back in 2010.

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
I've won a free movie ticket for 2 last year for winning with a random other guy on Halo Reach. Yeah.
And I didn't even own the game at that time :V

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
On a somewhat related note, I actually won my xbox (and Guitar Hero 3 which I sold for other games) by raising $700.15 for an animal shelter

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
Holy shit lmao. Must have been an off day for him or something because MF is absolutely nothing compared to TTFAF. That's pretty awesome though. I never got to enter in any RB/GH tourneys because I could never find any.

Re: My No-Life Skills paid off!
That's awesome man!
I've won a wide variety of tournaments. Lots of local Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournaments (I use Wolf) and Call of Duty tournaments when we had a LAN center here. Altogether I've made over $1500 in cash and prizes plus a few trophies. I still travel to Smash tournaments once in a while but I am really bad at it now. |
