I just want 2 know peoples opinions on which is a better buy,

The nintendo wii or the playstation 3???

This is one of those unanswerables.

The Nintendo is cheap and fun, but some say that it lacks the gaming that they want. The PS3 is deemed a great console, but has a lot of negative attention in addition to some flaws that I've seen myself.

I haven't played the Wii yet, but I'd test out the Wii first. Choose what you TRULY want, though, not just 'cause of what I posted.

Wrong section, there is a "video games" section. This thread has been done numerous times, there are stickies for all three of the newest generation consoles and so everything about this thread screams "deja vu".

Want to play games in a unique way? Get a Wii.

Want to really figure out what you want to spend hundreds of dollars on? Do your research.

Anyways, I personally prefer the Wii because it's just so much fun to play. But I'm slightly biased because I haven't played any PS3 games. <_<

Go for the wii. Don't get the PS3. It won't last. In my school, you get a PS3 and everyone is like "I don't care, those crappy consoles sucks anyways" but when you get a wii everyone is like "OMG I wanna come over and play it now! I'm gonna buy one too!" I'd prefer the wii anyways because I love the style of gameplay. PS3 is basically an Xbox 360 but with the same freakin' controller as their previous consoles.

If you are a casual gamer the Wii is best. It is affordable and fun. If you know what you are doing and are good with electronics I would suggest the PS3 not for its gaming potential but for its computer potential. It has such powerful processors and graphics cards in it with a bit of tweaking it could be converted to a sweet super computer. I guess you could get one just for Assassins Creed....

That's one of the only things I find the PS3 useful for. About the only computer flaw is that I put in a CD and it only showed half the songs I had.

BTW Pyro and wicked, both "Mi Tambien" and "Yo Tambien" work just fine, but a proper way to say it is "Estoy de acuerdo".

The Wii is way better than the PS3. Only because the Wii had less problems than the PS3. And the Wii has a good range of games.

I can't decide either but I heard alot of people say that the PS3 is way over priced! I like Nintedo but I grew up with a PS1 so i'll just get both its just easy as that!!

The only reason it's so overpriced is because of the blu-ray disc. Which is still crap. -.-

I'd say go with the Wii. I have yet to play a PS3 and Sony has annoyed me on multiple occasions recently (they sued Lik-Sang out of business...-_-) so I am a bit biased. The Wii has amazing games, though the gaming library itself is still fairly small. Its inexpensive and the only flaw Ive seen so far is with the wrist straps (but if people would hold the remote tighter and maybe dry their hands once in a while, this problem wouldnt even exist). The PS3 is way to expensive, blu-ray is way ahead of its time now and isnt being used to its full potential, i have seen some errors with the console (mainly from overheating issues) and i just plain dont like Sony anymore. I know, I'm slightly biased, but for the most part Wii is being considered the better system at this point. Maybe in a few years once people learn how to use blu-ray, then pick up the PS3.

i have a ps3 and it rocks. but i think the wii is just as good so idk what to choose but just because i have one i'll go with ps3. another thing that is bad about the wii is: WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY! THERE IS I THINK A BIGGER SHORTAGE OF WIIS THAN PS3s! I SAW LITERALLY 20 PS3s STACKED UP AT MY LOCAL BEST BUY!

that's because they're not selling when they get a true game ( final fantasy, kingdom hearts or killzone 2) those 20 are gonna disapear. also i vote for the wii because people say they don't have hardcore games, well they are gonna release a lot of them and im not counting zelda, metroid or mario
