Default What's your sport?

I know we all play FFR. But you can't consider it a sport. Probably most people on this site play sports, and I want to create some discussion and stuff about athleticism, not just about this game.

I'll start, my sport is obviously volleyball.

Some pics from today (repost)

That looks photoshopped. I can tell by some of the pixels and having seen many photoshops in my time.

The only difference is that my dad was recording the tourney today as well. So I could get some of this on youtube and link you guys if you REALLY think that it's fake. Or I could just not bother cause it's a complete waste of time to do that.

And anyway, I don't have the skills to shop something this well. Not to mention I don't even have photoshop on this computer.

You jump really high; it's scary. I couldn't do that for my life. You look like a killer.

My sport's swimming, but I can't swim that fast. I do it just to keep in shape.

Maybe someone on DeviantART can do it? I'm not sure; I've really never explored dA before.

i'm a dancer..and if you don't count that as a sport you need a reality check. We spend hours upon hours of practicing each week if not day. If we get injured we keep going and dance just as hard as before if not harder, we keep the smile on our face until we're off stage. We do just as much conditioning as any other person in any other sport. If you want to see pics i have...of dancing. If you still think it's a sissy sport or not even a sport let me tell you the list of injuries i got in a 6 week period in a pm

Yea, I've been to a couple of my sister's competitions... Sooo intense. They're crazy to watch.
Sorry to hear about your ankle. (If you look at my pics, you see my ankle braces lol)

@Coolboyrulez: I'd pwn Michael Jordan at volleyball even though he can jump higher than me. No question. When basketball players who don't know how to play volleyball try to play, it is actually very entertaining to watch. Not many people know how hard and complicated and how demanding volleyball actually is unless they play it seriously. I got some random guy telling me in the summer (this person was an American from FFR) that volleyball is a girl sport, and everyone who plays it is a pussy. He obviously hasn't played REAL volleyball. *Sigh* It's a shame that guys volleyball isn't so popular in the US. It's owning in Canada more and more now.

Just had to point it out. I haven't looked through this thread yet, so don't flame if someone already did. Anyways I'd have to say my sport is either volleyball or football. Not sure :/

Just because it's extremely hard, which I have no doubt that it is, doesn't make it a sport. If there are judges, which I'm assuming there are, it's a competition, and not a sport.

Both Wikipedia and dictionary.com essentially state that dancing is a sport. Also, atleast by the state of Texas, dance/drill team is given an athletic credit and has to take the standardized athletic test along with the marching band.

my sports are hockey, tennis, and swimming. i swam in middle school and swam for actual points, i wasnt an extra swimmer. i got some 1sts, 2nds, and 3rds most of the time out of the 6 swimmers. i quit in highschool, but still swim sometimes for fun. i've been playing hockey for about 10 years, i havent made my highschool team yet since our school is insanely good at hockey. If i went to the other highschool in my city i would have made it. I've been playing tennis for about a year now and i think i am improving pretty quickly. and dancing apparently is very serious business.
