Omnipwn Tournament: Dual Core
TOURNAMENT IS OVER
Remember, you do not have to do everything, and if you're new, you can JOIN ANYTIME. Just start at Round 1 and work your way up! If you want to just play FFR, then just play the FFR challenge. If you like mentals, then go for the Mentals. Or if you want challenges in other flash games, do the Gaming Challenges. Play as little or as much as you'd like. You can still win prizes even if you don't do all the challenges, but you can get better prizes if you do. Good luck! OVERALL RANKS: Updated June 9th Overall Combined Scores Overall Gaming Scores Overall Mental Scores Overall FFR Scores CURRENT EXCEL FILE HOLDING ALL SCORE INFO: EXCEL FILE LINK CLICK THE PICTURE TO PROCEED TO ROUND 6 CLICK THE PICTURE TO PROCEED TO ROUND 5 CLICK THE PICTURE TO PROCEED TO ROUND 4 CLICK THE PICTURE TO PROCEED TO ROUND 3 CLICK THE PICTURE TO PROCEED TO ROUND 2 CLICK THE PICTURE TO PROCEED TO ROUND 1 INTRODUCTION Greetings, fellow Flash Flash Revolution enthusiasts. This will be the official second installment of the Omnipwn Tournament series. The first Omnipwn Tournament was a huge success, and so I am hoping this one will be just as fun for you guys. All rounds and challenges will be carefully planned out, and the scoring system will be fast and error-free. This tournament will be taken a notch further than the last one and will truly test your skills in a very diverse way. The interesting twist to this tournament is that it is essentially three tournaments in one. Of course, for maximum prize-point ability you should do as much as you can, but you can still win prizes even if you only choose to participate in one part of the tournament and not the rest, but for the big prizes, you should try to do a little of everything. SIGNUP STYLE There are no eliminations in this game, every round is always open, and there is absolutely no penalty for joining late other than needing to catch up. This means you can show up at any time and participate. You won't have any disadvantage joining weeks after the tournament begins other than the fact that you'd undoubtedly have a lot to do to catch up to everyone else who participated from the very beginning. As a result, this tournament will primarily be based on pure skill. Please leave your name in the thread prior to the start of the tournament so I can send out a PM reminder to those who wish to participate. TOURNAMENT STURCTURE The tournament will consist of 15 rounds, and every round will have three Modes: 1. Gaming Challenge 2. Mental Challenge 3. FFR Challenge Each Mode will be ranked, which means there will be a Gaming Rank, a Mental Rank, and an FFR Rank. And then there will be the Combined Rank which is determined by taking an equal weighting of your ranks and scores across all three Modes. A given Mode is usually worth 1000 points for Rank 1, decreasing by 1% with each drop in rank. Therefore, an entire round is worth 3000 points at the maximum if you do all three Modes. Also expect some twists and turns later on in the tournament! Round 15 will be treated as a round independent of the three ranking systems, as it will only have one mode -- Omnidomination Mode, which is the official Omnidomination Challenge. The Omnidomination Challenge, this time around, will be an intense round that will truly test your skills in multiple ways, integrating Gaming, Mental Challenges, and FFR into one amalgam of delicious intensity that will drive you insane. PRIZES And of course, there are the prizes: Cobalt Flux (Hard Metal DDR Pad) (18 Prize Points + Perfect Score) One-Year FFR Subscription (16 Prize Points) Six-Month FFR Subscription (13 Prize Points) Three-Month FFR Subscription (10 Prize Points) My Offspring Backlit USB Keyboard (8 Prize Points) My Microsoft USB Keyboard (7 Prize Points) Rubik's Cube: 5x5x5, 4x4x4, or 3x3x3 (all smooth-turning with durable stickers) (5 Prize Points) 100,000 Credits (5 Prize Points) 50,000 Credits (3 Prize Points) 25,000 Credits (2 Prize Points) 10,000 Credits (1 Prize Point) Bonus Prize: One Vertex Beta vROFL Challenge (Participate in all 15 rounds) The phrases in blue indicate what you need, at minimum, to get the item. You can only choose one item if you are eligible to win a prize, but if you are eligible for the Bonus Prize, you can have it on top of whatever else you choose. Determining the order of how the winners will choose an item from the prize list will be done in descending order by number of Prize Points. In the event that two or more people have the same number of Prize Points, then the order will be decided with a random number generator. You cannot give Prize Points to another player. Some items are in limited quantity -- I only have two USB keyboards to give away, and only one cube of each size in stock. In terms of credits, I have around 333,000 total. As you can see under the Bonus Prize listing, you will earn a vROFL challenge if you play all 15 rounds (doesn't matter which Modes). This means that if you participate in all 15 rounds, you'll be eligible for this bonus prize even if you don't place at all. Prize Points are determined by your Overall Rank in a given Mode for Rounds 1 - 14 (Gaming, Mental, and/or FFR): Rank 1: 5 Prize Points Rank 2: 4 Prize Points Rank 3: 3 Prize Points Rank 4: 2 Prize Points Rank 5: 1 Prize Point And Prize Points will be assigned specifically for your rank on Round 15's Omnidomination Challenge: Rank 1: 3 Prize Points Rank 2: 2 Prize Points Rank 3: 1 Prize Point This means you can still win up to 100,000 credits or get a high-quality Rubik's Cube by getting Rank 1 in one only Mode! However, if you want the bigger prizes, you'll have to spread out, diversify, and dominate more than one Mode. The grand prize, the Cobalt Flux, is only available if one is able to get the maximum possible score in the tournament. The Flux will be very, very hard to win, as I still want to hold onto it for personal reasons, but if you are able to earn it, then it's yours if you want it. START DATE The tentative start date for this tournament is scheduled to be about one month from now on June 15th. This will give me plenty of time to plan out every round and to craft up some decent challenges for you all. I promise it'll be a lot of fun, and the prizes and competition will be great. Remember, this tournament is always open, there are no eliminations, and there is nothing that requires you to get here on time. The only thing that determines your place in this tournament is how well you do and how much effort you choose to put into outperforming your peers. New rounds will be posted every three to five days or so, with a week after Round 14 to catch up on everything and hone your scores a bit. Round 15 will be a week long, and then the tournament will come to an end and prizes will be distributed. Happy Omnipwning!

Re: Omnipwn Tournament: Dual Core
Breakdown, you didn't have tornado on.
5/5 Mentals. Those were just a warm-up. I don't think I can do FFR at 10fps. And for some reason the game won't load. |

Re: Omnipwn Tournament: Dual Core
nobody is winning the cobalt. not one person... not even me.... has a shot at a perfect score. i don't think anyone even has a shot at winning all 3 modes. i think i can win the mental and the flash game mode, but i highly doubt i'll win the FFR mode.

Re: Omnipwn Tournament: Dual Core
The Cobalt is meant to be a really hard prize to get. You need great skill to achieve it. If I were participating in this tournament (as in, if someone else were hosting this tourney), I'd probably have a decent shot at getting it, so I imagine that a few of you out there are capable of the same.
Regardless, even if you don't get top score, you'll probably still have enough Prize Points for a subscription, keyboard, cube, or a slew of credits, which isn't bad at all. On top of that, participating nets you a vROFL challenge. And even on top of all *that*, you'll be participating in a really fun tournament. Even though there are many prizes, the tournament is more about the competition. You win no matter how you split it!
