Dunellen NJ FFR meet up August 6th and 7th
Figured it's about time for me to update this front post. The meet up will be held at 8 on the break in Dunellen NJ on August 6th and 7th. 8 on the break opens at 1pm on the 6th so that is the time I will be there by. If you can't get there until later in the day that's fine I'm sure we'll be spending a good couple hours there. We'll probably hit something up for some dinner around 5 or 6.
Here is the link for 8 on the break's website. http://www.thebreak.net/ This is a nearby hotel for those who are staying over http://reservations.hotelguides.com/...41c339e6ae9282 JS is currently looking for a possible hotel mate. Contact him if you're interested. People Attending (still some maybe's not on this list)
T-shirts for the event are being made. If you want yours customized I need what you want by July 31st at the latest so I have time to make them. This is what the base shirt looks like. Re: East Coast FFR meet up.
Sure any of those locations in NJ would be fine for me. I imagine NYC would be ok too, as long as someone had a plan of something to do there.
As far as timing goes, I suggest August 13th - 14th. I think it's early enough to Fall classes haven't started yet for most people. And I have a lot of things going on this summer haha. Once school is out for most people, I'll be on my way to the Chicago meetup. In July I have to study for this major test for my teaching certification. Then in the beginning of August I have a quick summer course. It ends right before this weekend of the 13th. I wouldn't want to push it back any later because then people might be heading back to school. Anyway that's just me though. Please don't make it harder for other people to go just so I can maybe go.

Re: East Coast FFR meet up.
Well NJ is def looking like the favorite so far. 13th 14th sounds petty good to me but I'll put up a poll for dates later.

if it's on the east cost and toward the end of the summer, then I can probably go.
I just need some gas money.

Re: East Coast FFR meet up.
If it were in VA, I'd probably have a better chance of going. However, 13-14 is the weekend *right* before I go back to school, sooooo. Yeah. :/ Probably wouldn't be able to go~

Re: East Coast FFR meet up.
Depends if you care to meet any of those who would be coming and if you feel like hanging out at an arcade playing rhythm games lol. I'm actually debating on renting like a 15 passenger van for that weekend so we can go other places. I figure it'll prob be like arcade and hit up some restaurant. But once I know for sure what the dates are who's coming who will have their cars with them and who's actually going to be around both days then I'll worry about whether or not to get something more going. |

Re: East Coast FFR meet up.
you'll get to meet me, finally
Anyway -- it's definitely looking like NJ is way ahead in the choice of venues. 8otB might be a great place to hang out because their arcade is fairly extensive in terms of Bemani games, which is a great thing for a lot of us rhythm gamers. But if that's not your cup of tea, there's also a ton of fighting games too. Maybe we could set up some mini-tournaments (we'll still be paying, but nothing wrong in friendly competition) for some of these games if this turns out to be the venue of choice? Also, we'll leave up the polls for a little bit longer - once the vote counts stay the same for an extended period of time, we'll debate on dates. If you guys start suggesting dates, we can try to make a poll based on the suggested times. Being that this meetup is going to be squeezed in August, the timing will be important in terms of avoiding school or school activities, like those of you who might have some extra-curricular events before the school year (i.e. those of you who might be in band). |

Re: East Coast FFR meet up.
I would probably say 8 on the break I mean most of us are rhythm gamers and it is pretty centered for the east coast. Not to mention i have a blast everytime i do go there

Re: East Coast FFR meet up.
Looks like this has quieted down when it comes to location. I'll leave it up for the rest of the day then put up a poll for dates.
