Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
I feel there aren't enough FFR tournaments going on at the same time anymore, so I'm here to add one more tournament to the mix.
A speed tournament means the rounds will not last very long. You must be a frequent visitor to the site and you must check up on this thread very frequently once the tournament starts. - Registration fee is 1,000 credits per person. (I don't have many credits myself to give away so everybody needs to chip in.) - There will be two divisions. Moderate, and Hard. - Moderate Division will consist of songs in the Very Difficult to Very Challenging, maybe easy FMO range. - Hard Division will be VC to FGO I will check your level ranks and determine what division you will fit into based on what you can AAA Rounds will last 2 - 3 hours based on what I decide, and Round 1 will start at 8 PM Thursday (Central Time). I will assign 2 songs per round. I also don't know if I will distribute credits to more than just the winner of each division. It depends on how many people we have. If we happen to have enough people, I will distribute prizes to 4 people (best 2 in each division) by a 70:30 ratio. Scores will be posted in this thread during all of the rounds. So let's see who wants to do a speed tournament GO ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remaining Participants Division 1 Rebirth0 MaxGhost Poison- ScarletSky Division 2 ~Zeta~ Izzy TC_Halogen Elite Ninja Credit Jackpot: 57,000 nois-or-e donated an extra 40,000 credits ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Round 2 Eliminated Players Division 1: FFRGreen, NocturneAunamic Division 2: Mans0n Round 3 will begin at 2 PM Central Time on Friday. Also I won't put someone into the participant list until I see the credit fee is paid. Kind of common sense but just in case

In.
Do you want a ss of the credits? A notification through PMs, what? Also, I'm going to be gone this weekend, will that disqualify me or can I still participate in some way? |

Re: Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
I'll wait to send until I hear if I can even participate or not due to me being absent this weekend.

Re: Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
Since it's a speed tournament, you would have to be there when it is really going on. I couldn't tell you what to play in advance or anything. So unless you're gonna be here most of the day on Friday, then probably don't enter this one. I'll have more speed tournaments.
Also, it's hard to determine how good people are when they only have like 30 AAA's but a bunch of higher ranking 11 and 12 difficulty songs. Damn you people |

How will this work for different timezones?

Re: Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
It would just be scheduled using central time and if you live in a different time zone you will have to offset it and figure it out. I can see something such as living in europe or even farther east as being an issue but it shouldn't be bad if you live in the US.

Re: Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
You'll have to do the calculations on where central time zone is at, if you're somewhere in another continent or something. I've stated that the tournament will start at 10 AM Central Time on Friday, and that the rounds will last 2 - 3 hours each (haven't decided exactly on that one yet)
If 10 AM happens to be 9 PM or something like that for you, then I'm sorry. |

Re: Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
I'd love to play this but being that it starts tomorrow and our daughter has a doctor's appointment, I'm not entirely sure that I can do this. Oh well.
EDIT: Oh, I thought this STARTED tomorrow, not finished sign-ups. I'll be sending my fee in a moment. |

Re: Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
I'm also considering starting the tournament at 10 AM tomorrow though, considering I might not be here all day on Friday (moving into an apartment 3 hours away sometime on friday)
If public opinion agrees that we can start this in 10 hours, then I'm all for that. It would be a smaller tournament, but I don't really have any problems with that. |

Re: Rebirth's Speed Tournament #1: Registration Open
heh, well, I sent 1k of my credits -- if it starts tomorrow, there goes my 1k, lol
I'm against starting tomorrow, of course. |
