FFR St. Presidents' Groundhog Day Contest Thread
You've read the rules on the front page, so get to it! When the St. Presidents' Groundhog Day groundhog falls from its tree today and lands on its tail instead of its head, which president (or prime minister or similar position) will it fall in love with?

Re: FFR St. Presidents' Groundhog Day Contest Thread
i would say...Abraham Lincoln because he is tall and can prevent the groundhog from further falling on its tail.

I'd have to say, if the groundhog fell in love with a president, it'd be Nixon. Definitely Richard Nixon.

Re: FFR St. Presidents' Groundhog Day Contest Thread
I'd have to go with Millard Fillmore (13th President) because he is claimed to look like a groundhog. So therefore, The groundhog will not be unconcious, and think he see's another groundhog, he's not delirious, so he's not mistaken. Easy.

Re: FFR St. Presidents' Groundhog Day Contest Thread
That would depend mostly on the coins that were in its pocket. It seems most likely that, being Punx. Phil's younger, less successful brother, the groundhog would have more pennies than other coins (also because pennies tend to proliferate in pockets and in those small bins next to cash registers). As he flipped through the air in his fall he would not be the only thing to land on his tail, and as he rubbed his rump quite dazed from his fall he would rise to see a number of images of the sixteenth president. He would pity the pennies for their uselessness (for they are, after all, the coin of the least worth in america and it would save the country more money than they are worth to stop circulating them). This would develop into a fond affection for top hats and a distrust for theatrical events. All in all, being separated from his love by 143 years would scar him much more deeply than the bruise on his tailbone.
