By the way, I'm aware of the weird white nothingness at the end. After Effects oversight.

This is pretty well done. You put real emotion and character into an inanimate object. You've pretty much gave a curious nature to the lamp, initially tentative on what to do with the lever of the fire hydrant, then deciding to spin it full speed. It reminds me exactly of Pixar's animated lamp you sometimes see in their logo intros.

That was quite awesome! The only criticism I have is that it broke the 180 degree rule, but that wasn't too big of a deal. How long did that take you to make?

this isnt very realistic at all

no fire hydrant is that easy to open

D'oh! I knew someone was going to catch that. Nice one!

In total amount of animating, modeling, setting up dynamics, and then finally to spice it up to what you see? I say along the 20-24 hour mark possibly more.

Though if you want to count it, the render time took 18+ hours to do.
