French Accent Help

Firstly, to avoid any confusion from the thread title, I am American. I have an American accent and the only language I speak fluently is English.

Now that that's out of the way -

I audition for the school play every year, and I've landed the main part. I'm a French hotel proprietor who is faced with a roach infestation. The background is unimportant, however. The part obviously calls for a thick French accent, but I'm having trouble. I can make some stereotypical "French sounds" and the only actual French I have to say is commonly heard expressions such as: "Sacré bleu!", "Oh lá lá", "Pardonnez-moi!", "Au contraire" and "mon Dieu!". I need to sound like someone born and raised in France who speaks fluent English, basically.

Does anybody have any tips? I've looked at learning videos and searched the far reaches of YouTube. Help me if you can!

Try watching some French movies.

Look up pronunciation and what not.
